Ward would ''school'' (dance around and maybe bank some rounds due to superior skill) AJ for maybe 2-3 rounds before being walked down bullied and caught with a shot that could send him into another dimension. Oh and that's a prime Ward as Ward now gets brutalised in the first round obviously.
Ward is just trying to keep his name relevant. I doubt he would have the courage to fight Joshua in the UK - he refused to fight outside the USA during the Super Six and refused to fight Kovalev in Russia. Ward always had crooked officials to help out in the USA, he might not have that advantage in the UK. If it happened, Joshua would KO him easily. Ward's illegal tactics wouldn't work - Joshua is too tall for his head butts, and too strong to hit while holding. Joshua would just need to wear good protection over his genitals against Ward's low blows.
Not really a new statement this,I remember before Ruiz beat Joshua the first time that Ward was in some interview stating he wanted the Joshua fight .
I think prime AJ, (the version that faced Vladmir) beats Ward. That version would go get you and you'd have to show him you are the better fighter, he would not take your word for it. But that is if Ward isn't able to tire him out without getting caught. I think the version of AJ after Vlad gets beat by decision. AJ just waits to much and relies on his boxing skills too much. Also, if you pressure him he is not likely to punch with you. But, we could get a more aggressive AJ with him knowing he is fighting a much smaller guy.
Please, had he stayed on and retired today, you would be saying that he is ducking Benavidez. There will always be the next guy in line. Ward retired at the perfect time, after beating the boogie man of the division. If he was bold enough to step in the ring with Kovalev, then I don“t see why he would have been afraid of anyone else.
Has Joshua ever "walked down" anyone? He'd try to box mid range and get outboxed for at least several rounds. We can all agree on that. Then its possible he really does lose a decision.
Ward sees a bodybuilding bum just like me Ward looks at all the top heavyweights and clearly the weakest one is that bodybuilding lump. Totally useless. Yes he'd put a hole in Ward but still.
Ward would be stopped with a jab. Nobody who's getting dropped at 168 and 175 is taking a shot from a 240lb power puncher lmao, regardless of the skill gap. Wouldn't even pick a prime Ward to beat current Wilder.
