Even Bowe would do pretty well in the 70s

90s was the most talent rich era but there were so many fights that didn't unfold compared to the 70s

Yeah the 70s had really good matchmaking. By the 90s it was the money and contract era.

There is a solid argument to made for 90s, no question. Briggs got a gift against big George.

No, the 70s and 80s were better.

More fights at the top level, more risk. Talent on paper means nothing if the most promising fights don't happen.
Bowe vs. Lewis is just the tip of the iceberg.

And the fact that extremely old former ex-champions were not only able to keep up there but even dominate fights against young,
upcoming talents. Shows many weaknesses of this so-called "best era".
