Ken Norton Versus Tyson Fury

Fatigue is a factor here.

Fury is going to bully Norton around. It will be his gameplan to tire the smaller man out. Kenny already is slow of foot. He is not a combination puncher either.

Fury will keep him on the outside with long strikes, Kenny will parry and crouch to get a counter and then get tied up and leaned on. This will go on until Norton finally starts getting hit by those longer arms of Fury.

I see no way Kenny can win this. Fury has good movement, Norton is not a combination puncher. Fury has immense size advantage and reach. Norton is a better fighter overall but Fury is not the style for him.

Fury gets way to much hate on this forum. He is a legit champ and is a H2H nightmare.

 

Fury had a better uppercut than Ali did, at least the Sugar Hill version of him does. And that’s on top of being 40 pounds bigger than Ali.

Futch used to mock Ali’s uppercut, saying that he threw “what he thought was an uppercut.”

Don't see any great left hooks there. Some good uppercuts. His left hook is merely a decoy. I am Ali landed a peach of a left hook vs Bonavena and that hook is better than anything Fury has ever landed. But i wouldn't call Ali a great hooker.

Fury's Uppercut is good but hardly an ATG uppercut.

 

I was referring to Fury's uppercut. Its good but not some ATG uppercut. And Fury has a mediocre left hook at best. I was responding to the posters who were claiming Fury has a left hook when Fury's left hook is mediocre and certainly below Ali's left hook.
