It'll be hilarious if Whyte wins this weekend, ends up beating Parker, and then gets to fight Usyk.

If Whyte wins this weekend will Warren still be looking to make the Parker fight?

He says he will do the winner of Itauma vs Whyte, but we all know he means Itauma for Parker and the WBO. I can't see why he would make the fight if Whyte wins unless Parker really wants it.

I think Parker wouldn't be mad against the Whyte fight, he would be disappointed not to get Usyl or anyone in the legit top 5, but he has always said he wanted to avenge the loss.

I think Parker wouldn't be too happy about fighting Itauma also, because he is a young guy who hasn't really proven himself, even if he beats a washed Whyte. A bit of let down compared to an Uayk fight, and Parker wants to fight the best around.

"Dmitry Bivol has been ordered by the WBO to produce medical documentation about his back injury, surgery, and prognosis. The WBO is insisting on transparency for his recovery and wants to view the physician’s reports."

I trust the same transparency will be requested of Usyk.

Yeah isn't he supposed to be relaxing on holiday with his family?

And I don't really understand the timeliness, how does being injured prevent a fight being negotiated? Presumably they can just negotiate the fight to take place after he is recovered? Seems like a stalling tactic to me.

I believe the reason Usyk fights so rarely is because of the level of preparation he puts in for his opponents. And it's part of the reason he can do what he does.

Becomes a bit of drag though when he holds all the belts and starts to hold up the division.

It was the same for the IBF, they all have injuries during camp or after fight but often they can use as an excuse to delay making decisions not that the injury prevents them from doing anything. Just taking advantage of the rules

This is why I'm not a fan of the division now in general fighters are just not active enough or we see too many pointless rematches.

Whether someone likes Parker or not he's being shafted here out of his deserved fight vs Usyk no question.

Dubois "pulled out" vs Parker and in reality that fight should've been rescheduled not cancelled because that's not fair to Parker that Dubois just automatically gets another shot at Usyk. Whilst Parker had to fight the bogeyman of the division at that time in Bakole.

So you've had Parker waiting on the sidelines for Usyk/Dubois 2 and now he's being shafted again here.

    Boxing isn't fair.

I don't like how there just given the belt.. Parker should have to fight for it, just like Dubois should have had to fight for it.

Usyk hasn't vacated the title he's requested an extension.

If the King does decide to make J-Park's wish come true and put an end to his hopes of ever becoming a world champion again, and let's be real the only reason he ever became one in the first place is because of home cooking, then that's fine but we know when Usyk beats him they will make excuses again like they always do: J-Park beat a shot old Dosser, a old disinterested Big Bang who dropped him x 2 and would've undoubtedly KO'd him had he just let his hands go 5% more, and a obese out of shape Bakole who took the fight on 2 days notice, had no camp, hadn't sparred in 4 months, and literally arrived in Saudi in the late hours of the night before the fight, like 18 hours before he was due in the ring, looking utterly exhausted after a long flight. And J-Park stunk out the joint and fought scared vs The Dosser and Big Bang

And if King Usyk does decide to call it a day or fight someone else if he vacates that belt, that's fine too because he'll be 39 or very close to by the time fights next if he choses to do so and if he's still sticking to his plan of only having 2 more fights it will be his farewell fight

J-Park can fight the winner of Moses vs Whyte which will likely be the former and he can get KO'd by him instead

Usyk has fought 3 times in the last 14 months from fight 1-3, against the #1 and #2 HWs in the world, both of whom were reigning champions sans obviously Greedy Belly in the rematch

Injury, Covid restrictions, his home country being invaded, negotiations falling apart, Greedy Belly messing him about royally is why he was less active prior to then

He was already lamenting about how much time he had to spend away from his family and missing out on his children growing up, their birthdays, Christmas, New Year, the birth of his daughter, before he rematched Dubois. 9 months one year. As I've explained before. His camps are very long and very gruelling. No wonder he wants an extension

Following the same procedures everybody else has in the game for 50+ years? Yeah it counts. Might not like the politics behind stripping somebody so frequently but you can't pick and choose when "it counts" or not. Does Parker's belt count since it was vacant? If you want to fine comb the rulebook... You haven't made a single post that i've seen that gives anyone but Kiwis their flowers which is fine but I just know if he played or used the rules that way, or if they just fell that way, you'd be screaming 3x PARKER 3X PARKER!

Thats part of the reason I'm one of the few who don't mind the IBF strictly enforcing their mandatories. It keeps divisions moving and turns up new fighters that might otherwise go under the radar and not get a title shot.

People act like Usyk has no agency in his career and is just controlled by everyone else some how.

The reality is that Usyk has more power than anyone else in the division on what happens. Sure he has hard and grueling camps, but no one else is making that choice for him. Sure he had rematch clauses to fulfill, but no one else made him sign those or not defend his titles in between.

The guy is at the top of the division, undefeated, undisputed, he is super rich and undoubtedly the king. So how is it that people act like he has been hard done by?

The fact is that if Usyk was keen on fighting Parker he could still negotiate a fight for a date after he recovers from injury. The fact that he is instead asking for an extension to the negotiation period implies that he is not that interested in fighting Parker and is instead trying to keep his options open.

He's the undisputed undefeated HW champ of the world. He can absolutely choose who he wants to fight and not some corrupt boxing organization that only cares about sanctioning fees.

    It's good to be king.
