Moses Itauma vs. Dillian Whyte & Filip Hrgović vs. David Adeleye + Nick Ball vs. Sam Goodman RBR.

Nick Ball’s career has been a real surprise for me. I never thought he’d climb this far, but he’s now Britain’s only world champion — and fully deserves it. He’s never in a dull fight either. A clash with Anthony Cacace would’ve been a banger, but hopefully Ball shines here and earns that massive Inoue showdown.

As for Dillian Whyte, I just hope he avoids a flop. Best case, he shocks Moses Itauma, but even if he doesn’t, dragging the kid into deep waters and making him earn it would be an achievement in itself.

1-0 Ball. Goodman looking to make a fight of it at least

 

One each. Goodman’s footwork bamboozling Ball at times.

 

Entertaining fight.

 

2-1 Goodman. Clear Goodman round. He’s starting to look settled now. Ball looking sloppy.

I thought Ball might be on bother here. Gutted not to have put money on this.

3-1 Goodman. A better round for Ball but struggling to close the gap at times to fight inside. Goodman looking in control. Let’s see if he can last the pace.

 

Missed a really good fight in Adeleye v Hrgovic. One particularly epic round, think it was round 8 or 9 where Hrgovic put Adeleye down but Adeleye finished the stronger, had a sequence where he landed about eight unanswered punches on Hrgovic’s face but couldn’t budge the big Croatian brick house. One of the best chins around.

 

Yep, clear receding hairline. Should just zero it, would suit his fighting style.

 

3-2 Goodman. Ball’s best round so far. The uppercut starting to find its target.

 

3 each. Ball’s power looking like it’s taking effect on Goodman. Ball landing some nice combinations off the jab but needs to cut out the wild, telegraphed lead hooks.
