that would imply Itauama is better and more powerfull than Zhang, Joyce and Dubois

Itauma may well have the goods in those areas, but he hasn't needed to show them yet.

One thing is for sure, if he goes in against Hrgo, he WILL have to show more than he has thus far:-

    1. How does his chin and mentality hold up when he gets caught clean?
    2. How does his stamina and mentality hold up if he goes past 4/5 rounds and his opponent is still there firing back?
    3. Can he adapt and deal with adversity, is there a Plan B / C etc

Hrgo may not be able to coax all of those things out, but I think he will deffo ask 1 and 2.

Maybe Moses IS so good that he doesn't get hit, and is patient and can go 6, 8,12 rounds. But there is no evidence on this yet, and god forbid he was to go in agaiinst Usyk prematurely who will ask all 3 questions, if he is found wanting on any of them and Usyk stops him, then it will be the usual 'hype-job', 'found out' stuff etc.

I think it is a great fight.

Nobody is giving it to Hrgovic, the kid is a threat, but Hrgovic is very dangerous fighter and could get a lot with this win.

He is going to face him, better now when he is 33 then at 35

Imagine the upset if Hrgovic won, and the whole bubble bursted

Also, what can Hrgovic do - fight Usyk which he will loose,

Only better thing for Hrgovic right now is Dubois rematch, which Dubois wont accept

I think this would be a good fight Itauma would win but he will get some rounds as well and be a test. Great match up.

I dont really think so, but It is the best fight Hrgovic can get right now.

Aside from Dubois (who wont accept rematch) and Usyk (which he cant win), Hrgovic would make a cash bag on this fight, and win over Itauma would place him directly behind Kabayel/Parker for the title shot.

He can lose from anyone from top 10 that is for sure, but this is the best its gonna get

also he has to face him in the future, Itauma will hold a belt, he is british, better to face him now at 33 with 2 win streak than with 35-6 and dropped confidence and stamina

and he has no stamina to begin with

@Serge very astute analysis. Queensbury certainly don’t have Hrgovic’s interest at heart. They basically served up Whyte as a sacrificial lamb and marquee name for Itauma to slaughter. It’s a bit like elder abuse. Chisora was smart not to take the fight frankly.

Let's be realistic, Adeleye bled Hrgovic and almost knocked him out, imagine what Itauma, who is levels above Adeleye, would do to him...

Definitely be the right move for both fighters and I'd be very interested in this fight .
Hrgovic won't fall over as soon as Moses touches him.
Hrgovic will come to fight and try and push moses back.
    Great fight get it made!!!

As you say, it's an interesting matchup...

Hrgovic, for my money, is an overrated gatekeeper - BUT - his particular strengths and weaknesses could be the perfect mix to answer some questions about Itauma.

We know Itauma has decent power at absolute minimum - we know Hrgovic has a great chin... That means it either doesn't end early, or it means Itauma has mega power.

Because Hrgovic would be unlikely to get KO'd early, we'd be likely to see Itauma get hit... Sure, Hrgovic has pretty mediocre power, but we'd find out whether Itauma has a decent chin or not - if Hrgovic can hurt him, then he's certainly not top drawer in the chin department.

And the other big question with Itauma is stamina... Hrgovic is lacking a bit here, but that might actually be a bonus in terms of answering questions of Moses - if Itauma gasses first then he has major stamina problems, if both gas about the same time then Itauma has enough of a stamina problem to face uphill battles on cards (as Hrgovic does)... It Hrgovic gasses first and Itauma takes over in later rounds, that tells us his stamina is at least okay.

It's a good fight for Itauma - it's a solid step up against someone with known flaws.

It's also a great fight for Hrgovic - if he can win, he'll take some major hype for it and it's the best realistic way for him to get towards a title bout (even if he's likely to lose).

Usyk would be too much just yet, I think.

Besides - it's very unlikely to appeal to Olek, and sitting around fixated on just one fight and not wanting to take others can do wonders for your career, just ask Hrgovic ;)

Great fight unless Hrgovic's scar tissue ruptures early.

It would be a good fight just due to Hrgovic's chin he can probably extend Itauma later into the fight in which we'd see more of Itauma's stamina, heart, chin, tested.

I think it would be good matchmaking Hrogivic is a solid top 10 opponent who is not too good but is durable enough to extend Itauma some rounds so he gets some valuable experience.

Hrgovic showed good head movement yesterday, when Adeleye was aiming to re-open the cut.

Good post. I am surprised no else seems o have noticed this. He consistently gets clocked with counter left hooks. So far he was survived this fault by being extremely durable.

Add in he has a methodical offensive attack of "Jab, right hand: or "Jab, jab, right hand", with a occasional left hook that he seldom throws.
