We learned he's ready for a big step up in level and he's wasting his time against journeymen and shot former contenders. It's time he's really tested against another genuine contender level opponent. We don't know how he responds to getting hit clean with someone with power. Will he go down or will he freeze or will he eat it without blinking. We don't know if he can go 12 rounds at a good pace, his stamina is a complete mystery. We don't know how he handles being pressured, he's usually in total control and dictating things in the ring. We don't know if he can fight on the inside or knows how to clinch if he finds an opponent getting inside regularly. We don't know how he handles adversity, does he rise to the occasion or mentally fold?
Didn’t learn anything. He stopped a Glass Jawed Fighter who had been stopped before. We won’t know anything until he gets hit flush on The Chin.
We learned nothing of the question marks we have of whyte, we don’t know what his chin or stamina is like.
It’s a possibility, but we don’t know for certain that he would stop Parker or Fury early though. Fury has never been stopped, Parker’s only been stopped once and that was in the 11th round. They would be good fights and worth considering for Itauma next. Sticking him in with Usyk immediately would be very short sighted and potentially blow all of his momentum. Going from a shot chinny old fighter to the undefeated undisputed champion straight away is a stupid way to manage a fighter’s career, both in the ring and financially. Itauma should be built up experience-wise and commercially as a name for at least 1-2 more fights before facing Usyk.
