Aussie Joe, Carl Williams, Gerrie Coetzee were decent wins.

If Itauma is as good as I think he is then he would probably win. He's far more unproven so Bruno is the right choice for now but we'll revisit this in a year and I expect Itauma to be the favorite

I want to see Moses Itauma against better competition and into the 7th round and beyond. Then I will be better able to decide how good he is.

There are some real simple foamers in here.

Who has Itauma beaten? A completely shot to ribbons Whyte is not a signature win.

What on earth is a "qualify" win? I thought it was a typo but you've used the word twice now.

Bruno had 45 pro fights. Itauma has had 13. Itauma hasn't even beaten a top 10 heavyweight, nor has he given any champions a rough time.

Please explain how Bruno is no more proven than Itauma, at this point.

It looks like Itauma is shaping up to be your greatest ever H2H heavyweight.........like Joshua before him.............until Ruiz ;)

    Hi Buddy.
Well maybe, Williams and Bugner were 34 and 37 and coming to the end of their careers, so not that impressive to my mind, and Coetzee was sort of coaxed out of retirement by the ever so astute Mickey Duff, to bolster Franks record, Bruno is somewhat of an enigma as a HW boxer for my eyes, he was the least skilled fighter I had seen for many a year, he seemed to fight by numbers, like the books you coloured in when you were very little, he was the poster boy for fighting nobody's, or end of line fighters, the cartel back in them days saw Bruno as the chicken to lay the golden egg, if ever a rising prospect was wrapped in cotton wool, Bruno was that man, he was fundamentally very poor, I have spent many an afternoon watching him spar at various gyms, and makeshift gyms above or behind pubs, and the spars all followed the same pattern, big slow partners, who lacked mobility, then round after round, Bruno would plod forward throwing out his jab, then follow with a right cross, there was no instructions from Lawless to body punch, he never told Bruno to lay on the ropes and avoid punches coming his way, he wasn't taught how to box, a milkman could have said " jab, then cross your right " truth be told he was a man/child in a lot of ways, I got the impression he never really liked boxing, it was just a means to an end, as a person he was shy, and lacking in the social graces, but gentle and kind, I believe him to be happier out of the spotlight, and good for him.
stay safe JP, chat soon buddy.
    Mike.

Not to mention Bruno's great performances ahead of losses... Lots is always said about "Oh but he doesn't have the quality of wins" when guys are talking about Bruno h2h, we're not rating resumes, people. Itauma would not last half the amount of rounds that Bruno did against these names. Witherspoon, Lewis, Tyson- they all crush him at this point in time.

It's hilarious how people would ever think to bring up wins in THIS thread of all places. Are you really saying Itauma atp has better quality wins here? Are you all being serious?

Doesn't have to be anything special to beat the likes of Bruno.
McCall is the only guy Bruno beat in his entire career who id rate in the top 10 at the time he beat him. That's a pretty thin resume.

I tell you what. Why don't you tell me who Itauma has beaten that's as good or better than McCall.

    I'll wait.

Well, I do my best to navigate these situations and 'reply decisions' based on the qualify of a given post.

Bruno no more proven than Itauma?

    This doesn't qualify.
