Who could be? I found Leonard losing his championship to Duran after being dragged in da' trenches and be obliged to fight Duran war being actually a very valiant effort and I would have loved to see more macho Leonard moments.

I think any of them bar Robinson and (that version) of Duran

Do you think he could outslug Trinidad? Sure, he could completely outbox him, but could he beat him in a slugfest with Trinidad’s power and size at the weight?

Montreal Leonard has a very good chance to beat Jose Napoles in a slugging match.

Could you imagine D1ck Tiger vs Ray Leonard? That’d be an awesome bout if Ray didn’t take the easy way… idk maybe Tiger could throw a shoe at his wife or something?

    Hi Smoochie.
I have never bought into the " dragged " into and " trenches " when referring to the way Leonard chose , and that being the operative word, to fight Duran in that particular fight, and he most definitely was not obliged to fight in such a manner, I am in the minorly ( I think ) on the forum whos believes Leonard fought the way he wanted to fight, and had he chose to fight like he did in their rematch, he would have won in Montreal, I can't see a counter argument, but if that's what you think, then respect to that.

Probably. Trinidad have very good power. But so did Leonard. I think a Cuevas v Leonard slugfest would be interesting.

    The classic debate isn’t it.
I firmly believe Leonard had no choice but to fight that way, and that Duran simply didn’t have the speed to press him in the rematch. He looked 5 years older. I don’t think Duran would have beaten him again though, Duran really had to be in amazing condition to do that to Leonard.

    Hi Buddy.
Yes it is, always has been, if you are right and Duran's speed and reflexes in the first fight was the carry to victory, then it puts Ray in even a better light in my eyes, he totally fought Durans fight for all 15 rounds, then only lost by a point, a round, I can't remember, it's almost a win, for sure Roberto wouldnt be able to " outbox " Leonard for 15 rounds, if you get my drift.
As an aside, have been impressed by your knowledge and presentation since you joined, you know your stuff, and have polite way of delivering such, long may it reign.

Yes he could out slug Trinidad. Leonard had a better chin
and defensive ability, threw shorter crisper punches in close.
    Better combination puncher overall.

Thanks pal. I never boxed myself, only a bit of training and sparring. Bad injuries stopped most of my sport, a few of my family have boxed though. And Montreal is my favourite fight

Leonard would beat Napoles . Skill wise , they are about the same,
but I wouldn't argue with anyone who slightly favored
    Napoles.
But all the metrics in physicality goes to Leonard
and some like size, speed, and physical strength
by a wide margin. Factor in Napoles susceptibility
    to getting cut.
I see no version of Napoles beating Leonard at
welter or above best night vs best night.

He was outboxing him in the first fight iirc the only success Ray had in that fight was on the inside and honestly it was a bit wider then you say least in my opinion
