He gets past Max easily enough but hits a brick wall in Buddy. If we’re talking Jethro, it’s a 50/50 pick’em. Elly May Clampett? Well, that’s just being silly. Don’t push the horses. Olek has no chance against spunky Elly May - Granny would likely have to come and save him.
I think Usyk has a chance against anybody but prime Tyson is the fight I like for him least, because of Tyson's handspeed, arsenal and combos, not to mention the power. Having every punch in the book thrown with speed and power does a lot to offset the southpaw advantage, and high volume is a good antidote for technical boxing. Still, Tyson became decidedly less dangerous after the sixth or so, so Usyk could easily use his wearing-down strategy. And though Tyson was next level in terms of power- no one has put Usyk down yet. Good fight. I guess it all really depends on whether your think Tyson could get him early.
Beliefs are a funny thing, Mel. I once met a tribe, deep in the heart of the Amazon, and in that Prime warehouse, those people believed that they could turn water into wine. But only Jesus can do that, no matter what anybody else has convinced themselves of.
Bellew is clearly learning how to have himself trend online and milk his having fought Usyk for all it's worth. Evoking the Usyk/Gassiev bout as the benchmark here is just bizarre and clearly aimed at a modern fan-base. I'd be interested to know how well Bellew thinks he himself could have done against Tyson in his pomp, given that he gave Usyk a run for his money when he was well past his best. Peak Tyson would wreck Usyk and go home early (and what he'd do to Bellew would be a sight worse).
Indeed, Bellew gave Usyk problems and lasted 8 rounds, I’m not sure he makes the second round v Tyson
A Tyson first-round KO of Bellew would be a value-for-money bet. There's a good chance that the imprint left on the canvas of Bellew's sprawling body would last longer.
Bellew is 100% right. Usyk is far too good overall for Tyson, he's better than him in almost every department. Usyk would take him to the Soviet School of Boxing.
I don't think anyone believes Mike Tyson was unbeatable, the problem is dealing with a focused Tyson hellbent on breaking your ribs was definitely no joke, as dozens of people he fought can testify. Mr. Usyk is, obviously, no Charlie Zelenoff but depending which version of Tyson he gets in the ring with his chances can go from 99% to 1%.
Tyson kills everyone he fights with the first punch he throws (even though Tillis, Bonecrusher, Ribalta, Green, Tucker stood up to the actual Tyson and not the mythical Tyson just fine) Some of the posts here read like the comments section of a ****ing Tyson YouTube video. Same level of sycophantic nonsense.
Tyson at least beat a wider range of Heavyweights, many of whom would be considered superior to Joshua, Dubious etc.
