This is an easy one, right! I have an idea who wins, how about you? This is a ball buster!

I will go with Floyd Patterson, by decision, in a very close fight.

Real chess match of a fight ... Floyd had more pop, he gets the nod.

Damn, this is a great fight.

Patterson had the speed to surprise the great EZ. I think Patterson comes very very close to putting Charles out within the first rounds. His style is hard to figure out as well.

Charles is just such a great fighter, i think he naturally is gifted, and at his best had seen and beaten just about everything professional fighters could throw at him.

I am going to go with Patterson, he held the weight better and was faster. I think both will taste the canvas but Patterson nicks the decision.

Charles is a much better boxer with a higher ring IQ and probably has a better chin too, so despite his inferior athleticism I take him.

Tricky… we’d need more 175lbs Ezz to say because watching the dead legged version on film isn’t really fair but based on the film… Patterson most likely… actually it’d be a terrifying thing to be smaller then Floyd Patterson the Moore fight was rough enough.

It’s a close fight but I’m leaning towards Charles. Dealt with a myriad of greats who could both box and punch.

I don't fault anyone who picks either man. I begrudgingly lean towards Charles. But in a trilogy, they both lose one.

Definitely a fascinating matchup! If we're talking the peak version of both fighters I'd pick Charles in a UD or late stoppage--a better fighter overall with a superior jab and sturdier chin.

Best version of Charles beats Patterson. Charles is right up there with Greb in terms of all time greatness.. better fighter in almost every way.
