The closest thing I've got to a fun video is that Rosebud's boxrec page states about his fight with Benny Peterson that "Results from the Philadelphia Record, which stated that Rosebud's clownish antics were frowned upon and "the usual desire to throw bricks at him was soon manifested among the spectators."

 

Well I can’t feel bad about this as I’ve never heard of Kentucky Rosebud.

Indiana Jones is the closest I can come apart from the Yellow Rose of Texas.

I would like to thank everyone who participated, this thread obviously wouldn't have worked if no one asked any questions. I think there are two possible options that this can go. 1) I still do this but there is a longer time period between rounds (weeks or months.) 2) We pick someone to take over as host and the time between rounds stays the same. I would provide the new host with the list of boxers I ended up not picking via DMs, it's only 14 names but it could be helpful. They could obviously choose to not use any of them.

I'm fine with either option or maybe something else that I haven't considered.

I would still like to have the forum rank these 15 boxers by greatness. I'm not sure if that should be done here or in a separate thread. This is such a weird list of boxers that I would be interested in seeing how one would go about comparing them.

There's no way I could rank them, it's a task for a real historian. I never even heard about few of the old timers before.
I can run one round, with standard rules, if that's fine by You and others want to participate.

In fact, if you run one round, I volunteer to do the next.

Perhaps @Noel857 @Greg Price99 @Dorrian_Grey and @Young Terror could care to take turns after that.

And maybe @Rubber Glove Sandwich can skip class some day and jump back in, haha.

Thanks for mentioning me but i am useless at technology and to be able to organise a round is way above my capability.However i am more than willing to participate in future as i love this thread

I'd be happy to run one, but on the understanding I can't commit to how quickly I'll respond due to a variety of real world commitments.

Either way, I'll participate where I can if/when others continue the series.

I'd also like to thank @Rubber Glove Sandwich for taking the time to run this series, I've enjoyed participating.

 

@Mastrangelo how about you get us started.

I think we all realize whoever does it will have real-world time constraints as @Greg Price99 mentioned, including me. Like Saturdays are probably out for me starting real soon.

This round will use the normal rules. (One guess per poster, boxer must have won a world title at some point, questions like "Is your boxer from x?" will be treated as questions about birthplace unless specified otherwise by the poster.)
