    Hello Mike
Fantastic post as always. I really enjoyed reading all of it and I cant argue with any of it. It's thought provoking and comes at the subject matter from an unusual angle. Ive always felt Bruno was protected in the 80's and I'd argue he was a better fight in 87-89 than he was in the 90s when he had greater success. But it never occurred to me....as you suggest in fact this was a man who didn't really like fighting....it was a means to an end. That would explain the lack of survival instincts when hurt in the 80's and the colouring book analogy a man programmed certainly explains that template he followed of jab jab right hand and the silly unneccesary rabbit punching in the clinches....when he should've been resting in the clinches. Witherspoon would've been happy to clinches. He was a man who'd gone the distance many times. Frank almost lost that fight so dramatically in the 11th because he decided to carry on pushing things in the clinches even though he was the one on need of a rest. Other heavyweights of the time made silent contracts to take a breather before the referee shouted break.

It’s a bit early for Moses.

Anyone would think he's already parted the Red Sea, for some.
