Frazier was a top 3, that doesn't mean anything. Quarry didn't look any different and didn't lose to anyone he shouldn't have, he beat up Lyle just a couple years before
Years bro fighters decline especially someone like Quarry who's been in war after war. If you think Quarry was the same as when he was at his best then I'm sorry bro you don't know what you're watching he was on a decline for awhile leading up to the fight
Please let me know the fight that shows such decline since your confident Quarry was done at contender level Assuming he was he probably still wasn't shot, he looked pretty good against Norton and didn't lose to any low level guys right before the fight nor after, since you're known to judge fighters off how they look rather than resume
Any modern fighter against any past fighter lol. Tua and Norton are two great examples. Good fighters but both over hyped. I would add Cleveland Williams to the list.
Dude, if you thought he looked good against Norton, then you would have been impressed with him in his prime. I thought he looked terrible against Norton with that pot-belly. But there again, he accepted that fight with about 2 1/2 weeks notice. No one should be taking a fight with Ken Norton on 2 1/2 weeks notice. Quarry should have retired after the Frazier beat down. He was a shot fighter after that.
He was beat up by Frazier the first time. Frazier walks any version of Quarry. Quarry vs Norton was competitive and Quarry showed high level infighting. Quarry was past his prime, but i wouldn't say shot, people need to watch that fight in high definition Quarry looked good while he took the fight on short notice
Mike Tyson takes the cake here. None of his losses count. Ask any of his supporters. He is undefeated all-time and even those fights like Bonecrusher and Tucker where he just slogged along were actually dominant beatdowns of epic proportions.
