That is correct! My boxer is indeed Jesus "Kiki" Rojas. Congratulations.
I thought that He might prove challenging due to his longevity and ability to win titles in different decades, but one shall not underestimate the knowledge of the classic section ).

He still looks great in the last footage I could find. Probably always lived clean and kept at it even after his career ended.
Anyone saw him fight in his prime, by the way? I only know him from later stages, when He was close to 40 - but still able to compete on World level.

I have never seen him in prime but the fact that he stayed in the mix so long, especially without power or some other supernatural attributes, says it all about how skilled he was.

This one was especially tough @Mastrangelo — I had like five or six other ‘finalists’ who I researched down to every single answer you gave who were only disqualified by one (like ticked every box but was an Olympian or a southpaw or slightly too high KO percentage or whatever). One even had his last bout in December 1990 and I thought ‘wow that’s amazing how well he fits’ then found a single disqualifier.

    Good show my friend!

That means my turn to step into the batter’s box.

I’ll pick someone, do a bit of research and get it started today.

With a nod and thank you to @Rubber Glove Sandwich and @Mastrangelo along with the many who have participated or even looked in on this thread with curiosity, Round 17 is now underway.

    My turn as taskmaster.

All questions must by answerable in a yes or no fashion. I will do my best on research and if I run into a stumper I cannot answer, I will say so and the question will not count against the 20 allowed. I will rely on boxrec for questions regarding record and career and cite my source where I feel necessary for clarity.

This round will use the normal rules. (One guess per poster, boxer must have won a world title at some point, questions like "Is your boxer from x?" will be treated as questions about birthplace unless specified otherwise by the poster.)

I’ll even give you a hint to start with: My boxer is not Jake Paul.

    Questions 0/20

    Current information:

    None

I will be in and out today and over the weekend but should be able to turn my attention here for stretches and not be away for an overly long period except for sleep.

This is the opening bell. Let’s have a good contest.

I'm glad you kept the tradition of having a fun video on the congratulation post. I would appreciate if all future hosts did that but obviously it's not required and sometimes not possible.

Was your boxer ever “the man” of his division?

Did your boxer have any draws on his record?

The first one on whether my boxer was ‘the man’ is, of course, subjective, but I think it can fairly be said that. He was ‘the man’ of his division at some point.

My boxer does have at least one draw on his record.

    So here’s where we stand:

    1. My boxer first won a title before Jan. 1, 1980

    2. My boxer was, in my estimation (and I think history backs this up) ‘the man’ in his division at some point.

    3. My boxer does have at least one draw on his record.

Keep ‘em coming, lads (and lassies, if any are playing — where’s Dr Joyce Brothers when you need her?).

Yes, my boxer did fight professionally before 1960.

And my boxer did win a world title at welterweight or above.

    So, to be precise …

    1. My boxer first won a title before Jan. 1, 1980.

    2. My boxer was, in my estimation (and I think history backs this up) ‘the man’ in his division at some point.

    3. My boxer does have at least one draw on his record.

    4. My boxer did have at least one professional fight before Jan. 1, 1960.

    5. My boxer did win a world title at welterweight or above.
