So has Pulev vs Hunter completely fallen through then? Last I heard Don King was insisting that it's still happening even though nothing has been organized. Pulev looked so slow and shot in his last fight, I don't expect him to have much for Itauma. But he does have the WBA regular which Itauma may want to leverage into a legit title shot.
A 44 year old fighter? Pulev isn't a journeyman, but he is a very faded gatekeeper these days. Itauma should really steamroll him inside three rounds.
Hrgovic underwent plastic surgery on his most recent cut and isn’t expected to be out again until 2026. Pulev holds the WBA regular belt so I can see the route Queensbury are taking. It’s exactly what they did with Dubois but the reality is, Itauma will obliterate old man Pulev.
Please no. Itauma is too good to be chasing the wba fake poundland bollox belt against a shot 44 year old.
I would normally be against this. But, if it permanently removes Pulev from boxing, I am on board. Itauma will hit Pulev so hard, he will be seeing flashbacks of Wlad poleaxing him.
Hmm, I always thought a manager should look out for his fighter, putting the fossilized Pulev in with Itauma at this point seems like the opposite here.
This is a step back from the Whyte fight, Pulev wasn't anything special even at his peak, Itauma will destroy him and retire him...
Pulev still near his prime (age 33), was destroyed in 4 or 5 rounds by a 38 year old Klitschko. Now Pulev is 44 and they are thinking of him as an opponent for 20 year old KO artist??
It would be disappointing, but Pulev has (had ?) a very good chin, maybe he could give Itauma some rounds.
