sparked in less than 3 minutes. He can't punch can he? That shoulder was knickered.
Old age, lack of fighting activity - rarely does this end well

Why are they all doing this!? Surely a comeback in boxing against a similarly aged fighter would be more financially lucrative for guys like Degale!?

When DeGale was coming through, James was an exceptional puncher and counter-puncher at a certain range. Adam Booth used to call it “the blender” — and if you stepped into that pocket, he’d chop you up. That’s exactly why the Groves fight played out the way it did.

Not sure how much he’s got left now, if anything, but in BKB he’ll need to walk these guys straight into the blender if he’s to avoid going the way of Gavin and Cox.

People forget how talented he really was. Made hard work out of fights that he could have breezed through

He had a terrible habit of fighting to the level of his opponent, if he takes it seriously he should do well but whilst being a world class boxer gives you a good start and foundation in BKB, you have to have to have a different mentality.

Does anyone have any idea how much he'd get paid for risking his health and reputation in this?

DeGale should beat this guy but I don't see him going far in BKFC.

Spot on. This was exactly the case in his first fight against Caleb Truax. Spent far too long on the ropes.

On companies house James is winding up his limited company. He has knocked the tax man.

At one point he had 3mln quid in his limited company accounts.

    He will get knocked out

Yup, even in his best win against Dirrell he almost had it in the bag after those two knockdowns in the first four rounds — then he switched off, let him back in, and had to dig deep again at the end. Still, that’s such an underrated win, as were all his victories on the road, and he was razor close to edging Jack too. Real shame the Groves rematch never happened when they both held belts, and when he was at his peak Froch chose retirement rather than risk it against him.

And HMRC will get knocked too — they’ve got zero chance of clawing anything back now. From the outside it looks like it was his mother who wasn’t paying the bills, which gives the whole thing a real Frampton–McGuigan vibe. Seen it too many times in boxing: fortunes made, fortunes gone, and someone else always left holding the bag. Hopefully he never had any real assets like property tied up under the company’s name, otherwise that’s gone too. Once HMRC come knocking, anything traceable in the business gets swallowed up quick — but it rarely goes to them. Liquidators will pocket a few quid, push the paperwork through, and that’s it. Standard practice. Looks like he walked away with the Eubank purse tax free.
