Both are arguably the best fighters to have fought at 154 along with Mike McCallum and Thomas Hearns. Between the two who do you rank higher all time in terms of resume?

Terry Norris: 3x Light Middleweight champ and unified champ. Wins over Sugar Ray Leonard, Donald Curry, Meldrick Taylor, Simon Brown, John Mugabi, Jorge Castro, Maurice Blocker

Winky Wright: 2x Light Middleweight champ and undisputed champ. Wins over Felix Trinidad, Shane Mosley, Ike Quartey, Bronco McKart, Keith Mullings, Sam Solimon

Interesting to note that their best wins are mainly fighters who were coming from weight classes below.

Norris was way more entertaining. In a head to head fight I'd go with Norris.

It's close but the were both so different. Norris was all offense and was one of the most physically gifted fighters ever.

Winky was as defensively sound as it got and took longer to reach his prime than Norris.

If they fought each other prime for prime, I'm taking Winky. I think that jab and would disrupt Norris's fast hands and Winky would walk him back like he did Shane.

I’d say Winky was probably the greater fighter. Getting one-shot the way he did repeatedly really detracts from Norris’ legacy. A superlative talent but lacked the durability, focus, and defensive nous to avoid the losses which stain his legacy. I would much rather lose a tight decision to Harry Simon, Francisco Vargas, and B-Hop than get DQed twice against Luis Santana. Tito, Mosley, and Quartey where they were at are all better wins than the likes of Brown, Meldrick, and the shell of the man once known as Sugar Ray Leonard. Wright pushing Jermain Taylor to a contentious draw is also a good feather in his cap.

Norris was great to watch and always in an exciting match,

For me so was Winky, he was a joy to watch for me.
But agree with the quote, I see Winky taking him out late in a great fight.

Winky has a great chin remember

You could make a case that Winky Wright won the Jermaine Taylor fight .., and that’s a better performance than anything on Terry Norris’ record

That’s how I see it too…Winky is actually a better inside fighter than Norris

I prefer Norris. It’s 19 title fight wins to 7 if you don’t count Winky’s WBO belt.

How can you state this as Julio Cesar Vazquez KD'd Wright about 20 times and Terry Norris wouldn't get in the same time zone as him?

Wasn't he also beaten by a former lightweight Pernell Whitaker?

Depends on how you scored it. Vazquez was definitely the boss in that fight.

Much like how Whitaker was definitely the boss in the Julio Cesar Chavez fight.
