I think he is better than Wardley and should get the win over him, I think Wardley might have more success than people think an dmay even drop Parker. What I mean is that after Parker beating a few fringe contenders and a Wilder that didn't throw back he seems to be getting a reputation and standing that I'm not sure is warranted. Just my opinion and tbf means nothing

Unless there's controversy (Froch v Groves etc) I've never understood the clamour for a rematch for someone getting stopped or knocked out. It's the clearest outcome there can be in a ring.

If it is a clear knock down or clear stoppage, yes. But they aren't always and there have been some very questionable stoppages over the years.

I'm still not fully sold on the new Parker.

Zhang and Wilder are low output fighters who are quite basic (jab & cross merchants mainly). With Parker fighting on the back foot and looking for counters or to time them coming in, they were made for that style. It will be interesting to see how Parker handles a different style.

I'm also interested to see how Parker handles the extra mass he has put on since those fights.

I still expect Parker to win by UD, but Wardley potentially has more than just a punchers chance. I can't see him out boxing Parker and winning on points, but if he can handle a few rough spots Parker will put him through, lay it on Parker and rough him up, he could make things difficult for the Kiwi. Maybe the extra weight has diminished Parker's gas tank.

Wardley is definitely a live underdog in this, and he should feel proud to have even got to such a lofty position with so little experience.

I just think he gets busted up quite easily, but he's big, strong, punches like a mule, and as has been seen before, has heart and never stops trying.

    Good fight

100%. Why did Eubank get a rematch against Liam Smith? Simply because of his surname that’s why.

In circumstances like this though, where someone had lost every round, quite late into fight before the ko I think it’s fair for people to be interested in the rematch.

It's a good fight. Wardley has very much a punchers chance against anyone and saying that I do edge towards Parker simply being too ring savvy and winning on points.

Wouldn't be the biggest shock if Wardley does land something huge and wins, he's having a great journey and whatever the result his story is far from done, exciting fighter.

I think Parker will frustrate Wardley and Parker will box behind a jab one, two combinations and rack up the rounds to win.

I cannot see how Wardley wins this, unless Parker gets greedy and stays inside for a little bit too long and gets too complacent.

Should be a very dull and very easy UD for Parker here. He will do his usual fencing boxing style, and Wardley wont have a chance of even catching him with anything.

I general I'd agree, but one exception I'd make is where one fighter has been out boxed and then comes up with a hail Mary punch that turns the fight on its head.

I think running back those fights can lead to even better contests next time round, esp if it's a puncher vs boxer matchup. Each side gets the chance to make adjustments and the loser has to deal with the fear that lightning strikes twice.

Wardley has done very well with what he has, but it's only a matter of time before his luck runs out. I think Parker beats him quite comfortably on points.

So what is he supposed to do sit with his thumb up his arse and wait? Mandatory's mean **** all in boxing which is why boxing is a joke at the moment. Also Parker knows Usyk schools him so is he just supposed to be happy to be there in a Usyk fight, may aswell earn a wage and maybe get a vacant title shot. Usyk wont be fighting Parker anyway as he is 'injured'.

If Fabio actually gets stuck in and does not do the backfoot poncey stuff he has a chance here as he's naturally stronger and more tenacious than parker and if he can rough him up like Whyte did who is not as fast and sharp as Wardley and not exactly a master boxing technician himself then he has a chance here.

The odds are mental and Parker is the most overrated fighter in the world right now.
