Crawford will steal some rounds, but Canelo will be able to impose himself on Crawford and outmuscle him and overpower him to a decision win.

Lots of boxers have moved up multiple weight divisions - even back in the days when there were fewer weight divisions.

Henry Armstrong's first fight was at 120, later he fought and beat middleweights. Pacquiao started at minimumweight, then moved up the divisions to welterweight. JMM jumped two weight divisions to fight Mayweather, who couldn't make the catchweight. Sam Langford started at lightweight and later fought heavyweights. Duran started at bantamweight 118, won a title at middleweight and fought at light heavyweight. Greb was a middleweight who fought heavyweights.

Billy Conn started at lightweight (same as Crawford) and eventually fought Joe Louis at heavyweight. Canelo actually started at 140 and moved up to light heavyweight, he's actually at a reach disadvantage against Crawford who is close to the same size.

My prediction is that the fight is fixed. I hope I am wrong.

If Crawford dominates Canelo I may put him on Sugar Ray Leonards level of greatness

I have the same suspicion ,if this fight goes the distance in a slow boring tactical fight you'll know Canelo was carrying him. I see this fight as a Jake Paul Mike Tyson type of money grab.

Those "Lots of boxers" are pretty much ATGs. And for many of those examples, they moved up gradually.

As has Crawford. From lightweight to super lightweight to welterweight, to light middleweight to super middleweight.

And let's not forget, some of those weight divisions (140, 154 and 168) did not exist until the modern era.

Both Crawford and Canelo at their current ages are natural super middleweights. Crawford is taller and has longer arms than Canelo.

IMO he has to be impossibly better. Ray Leonard was only 31 but he also had a style that could move up and win.

Bud can't help but get in a fight. We also seen what Bud looked like moving up to 154. People are just blocking out the Madrimov fight.

For Bud to have a chance in this fight, he would have needed a tune up fight to get some rounds in at this ridiculous weight but no one would be stupid enough to risk that after the Madrimov fight. Then the Canelo fight would just have never happened.

I love Bud but he was 50/50 vs Spence. Then he gets older and is now the most unstoppable fighter of all time that can basically do anything in some people's mind.

The whole fight is a complete hype job. Even in this thread arguing Canelo is not the A side even though he is getting like a 100 million to Bud's jack ****. I have never seen a big fight so divorced from reality as this.

It is a fight for people who play the lottery. A dollar and a dream. "Even though it is unlikely you can't say it is impossible".

Crawford is nearly 38, has fought above 147lbs 1 time
Only fought 1 time in 2 years

A slightly faded Canelo should win easily when I think about it

Yep even in the last decade I don't recall any fighter moving up multiple weight classes in a big fight and actually winning.
    Brook GGG
    Rigo Loma
    Garcia Spence
    Khan Canelo
    Charlo Canelo
Even here in Australia the usually tough and skilled Stevie Spark moved up two weights to save the show when Zerafa pulled out against Tim Tszyu and got absolutely man handled. There a weight classes for a reason then add in the fact that Crawford is 38 years old.
