This content is protected That post-fight interview is the funniest thing ever, I think it was premature, yes, but blud was holding for his life, Leonard would have finished him despite being rusty, most likely already fully immersed in da' booze, da coke and da' hooahs during that stage of his career. This content is protected I mean, he beat up the count, yet that version of Oliver was sharp and Lennox was already messed up by counters in the first round. Wish this McCall presented himself in tha rematch despite still picturin him losin'...
Froch vs Groves 1. It was a dreadful stoppage, but I think the tide had turned and Froch's strengths in stamina and durability where George's weaknesses. The momentum swing was only going to continue. I felt the ref robbed Froch of what would likely have been a legitimate stoppage around 2 or 3 rounds later.
Hi Greg. You are of course correct, BUT, what the ref didn't rob Froch from, was a massive pay day, one of the biggest fights in recent British history, a chance for Carl to prove who was the better fighter, and ( unfortunately ) a lifetime of Froch telling the world how many people came out to see the fight, I think he owes Foster a huge dept, and events turned out very nicely for him. stay safe buddy, chat soon. Mike.
Hi Mike, Completely agree, the premature stoppage worked out very nicely for Froch, all things considered.
You mean when Carl The Cobra Froch was the best fighter at his weight bar none, despite nobody asking and making a point to remind us every 5 mins on his podcast?
This content is protected This stoppage has a quite similar case like the stoppage in Kostya Tszyu vs Zab Judah, the champ could go on but got up too early and we're still on shaky legs. They're still conscious and willing, but the legs don't lie. I'm not even sure they're going to make it out later on while still rocked like that tbh.
Am taking Dokes over Weaver in their first bout. Fast hands to score the points and a sturdy chin back then. Plus the added benefit of DKP backing in a cross promotion. And Arum hardly loved Weaver.
