    So just over thirty years since big Frankie won the WBC belt from Oliver McCall.

    What's your memory s of that night?
    Who did you think would win?

    It was quite the emotional journey for Frank.
    Starting back in 1982 .
    His losses to Smith and Witherspoon.
    The big fight with Tyson.
    The, very two sided fight with Lewis.
    Then finally winning the WBC title.
    Get in there Frank!!

    My biggest memory is Nigel Benn constantly jumping up encouraging Frank throughout the fight

    Lol yes he was going mad .
    Think that was same year as his war with McLennan, where Frank was cheering him on to.

    Insane memories. I remember it being a messy fight basically.

    It was a scrappy fight, especially those last few rounds,when Frank was getting really tired.

    Crazy to think that McCall is still fighting on at 60
    He's the oldest former heavyweight champion to have boxed professionally.

    A big occasion but awful fight. Bruno finally learned how to hold on for dear life.

    Pretty dreary affair.

    Hard to think of it as "world championship". More like a couple of 8 rounders by guys not ready to step up to 12 round bouts. And the winner of the bout was not going to be following this up w/ successful title defenses. Oliver poor against Holmes and this effort wasn't any better. But they should have never taken the bout in Frank's backyard. Should have made him the road warrior; because the road warrior is coming out with the loss in this bout.
