Roy Jones receives the 1988 gold medal

I said it is a meaningless movement and I consider it stupid. Get over it.

 

It was his medal and he gave it away. End of story.

I don't care what you said. You just need to get over it.

 

Anyone with even the slightest amount of boxing nous knows Jones beat Park and that's why Park has given Jones the medal.

Park feels he is righting a wrong and anyone with more than half a brain can see that and appreciate the gesture.

Jones received the award for boxer of that Olympic tournament. Again, anyone with any boxing nous knows Jones received that as a consolation for being blatantly robbed against Park.

 

Great news and a classy gesture. Arguably the biggest robbery in boxing history has been rectified. Salute!

 

I remember it. I saw it live on TV , Roys gold medal bout. I think the backstory was that the judges were out to dinner with his opponent the night before. Dont know if that hat was true or not. 36 year wait for Justice, so happy for Roy. You can see how respectful and jazzed he is about it. Good for him

The right thing to do is the Olympic committee overturning this. Two judges from the fight was banned for life. Proven corruption and they still did nothing.

Park gesture is nice but record still shows Park and him giving medal to Jones is so late, 30 years late.
