I agree with both of you. Fury was definitely unlucky not to get the decision but it doesn't quite constitute a robbery like Foreman-Briggs for example.

My philosophy is that sports generally improve over time so Joshua inevitably would have been surpassed by younger fighters with better training methods, better peds, etc who would have the added advantage of studying Joshuas fights.

 

I don’t think Wilder was ever overrated. Sure he had his fans but a few people hyping him here and there isn’t exactly the recipe for a primadonna. And when it came down to it wilder and Fury put together probably the only rivalry in that era that’s worth remembering.

Great, but they haven't made the Holes/Fareways longer, so in otherwords, the only thing modern Golfers have on previous Golfers is 'Tech' in the equipment.

make the Holes longer proportionate to the Tech advancements and see who's Scoring better games or not!

Combats sports are entirely different, if the Fighter lacks Skill, Craft, Activiety and FITNESS, no amount of Modern Sports training or tech will ever improve on that. None.

Look at AJ, a Giant Adonis, yet he can't maintain it into the late rounds.

I think the assessment of Fury is fair. He was hardly dominant and the entire time he was a champion he tolerated the existence of another world champion.

If we look at posting history, of those 58, more than 30, to this day, have never said anything positive about Wilder and have a post count at or under a few hundred posts.

At the LDBC forum their poll heavily favored Wilder ... big shock, many of their members have nothing positive to say about Fury ... still.

I know it's hardly ever called for, but, consistent poster opinion should matter more than numbers. These numbers are fluffed by jamooks who in 7 years managed a whole 200 posts, none of which show any level of objectivity.
