Ladies and gentlemen, gather round. History was made. Not in the Octagon, not in the ring, but at a press conference, where Dana "Big Balls Until He’s Asked a Real Question" White got folded like a cheap lawn chair.

So Sean Zittel, a guy with more balls than Dana’s entire PR team, asks about the Ali Act reform and Dana’s little $400 million fighter pay lawsuit. You know, the thing Uncle Baldy doesn’t want anyone to bring up.

Dana ? He looked like he just got caught cheating on a math test by the teacher. Stuttering, dodging, calling Sean an ******* just to buy time. Bro literally tried the ‘look over there!’ strategy while his face screamed ‘oh ****, they know.’

Reporter didn’t even flinch. Just smiled and hit him with: "This is America, baby"

So Canelo, because why not, jumps in like it’s high school and yells: ‘Fight, fight, fight!’
At this point, I half expected someone to pull out a cafeteria tray and go full WWE.

This wasn’t an interview, this was a verbal execution in public. Dana’s lucky Nevada doesn’t score press conferences, or it’s 10-7, maybe even a KO.

Anyway, enjoy the video. Watch Uncle Dana forget how words work.

That was brutal. Canelo’s trolling added to it.

I always liked Sean on Shawn Porter's podcast but that was so awesome.

I can't stand Dana White. The UFC is a joke and I watched UFC 1 live, went to UFC 7, watched all of Pride.

At one point Dana wanted to make the UFC bigger than soccer and instead made it all about himself.

Basically, an aerobics instructor that won the lottery.

Dana is the poster child of what sucks in 21st century America. Why have any integrity or do something interesting when you can make a few more dollars you won't spend.

The poster child of the insane, delusional, American homo economicus religion.

That was great. Sean Zittel exposed Dana for the greedy snake that he has always been and you can even hear the boos as well. It's so funny how the response Dana can only fall back on is "set up an interview with me" which he keeps repeating four times. We all know Dana is just going to decline it regardless.

There's no monopoly in boxing. Dana White won't be able to pull the same stuff he does in UFC where fighters get paid $500k and a lifetime supply of Reebok gear.

So... did Dana ever do a follow up interview with this or did he "decline" the offer?

I'm hardly the guys biggest fan but how did he make it all about himself? because hes a visible promoter who talks to the media etc regularly? If anything thats a good thing.

The UFC has been producing stars at a higher rate than boxing in the almost quarter of a century hes been there, and tends to draw more consistent interest. That doesnt really mesh with the idea that its all about Dana White. It was never going to be "bigger than soccer" but it is many ways bigger than boxing now, and has turned into a multi billion dollar industry, and will continue to be when Dana is gone.

What metrics are you using for this?

UFC is certainly more popular than boxing in certain markets & certain demographics but not at the global level & when I say global I do mean global as in Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Mexico etc etc

In any case the 2 are not in competition because there is little overlap in audience between the 2. MMA & Pro wrestling has a bigger overlap, not surprising given the early pro wrestling influence on MMA especially in Japan

He is not a promoter who talks to the media regularly, even Eddie Hearn does that. He is a promoter who tries to make it about himself, just like how he told Zittel to stay on topic while not saying a word when Kellerman was glazing him.

Kellerman was promoting Dana White not Crawford vs Canelo, that's what's objectionable

Boxing overpays and promotes ducking, ufc underpays but the best always fights the best. Probably need something in the middle.

A league system where profits are split with the athletes 50/50 like you see in the NFL and NBA would be best for all. The control needed to mandate and enforce the best matchups but with the athletes being well paid.
