He was right to refuse that fight, it is too soon and no money in it Cuts opened in June and August fight against Joyce and Adeleye, it would open again with Itauma and he doctors would award him a free win, against top 10 opponent, and cheapest one at that Put him with Joshua Hrgovic is cheapest fighter out of Top 10 for Warren, and he still wont pay him, Whyte got 2M, Hrgovic biggest earn was for Adeleye and that was 400k If he doesnt get money why should he risk his beat up face to give Itauma, judges would call it a fight as soon that cut opened, which is a goal for Frank Warren Also, what does Hrgovic gain with win against Itauma, no money? recognition - Itauma would become a hypejob, but he was not a top 10 fighter Does he get a title shot? Even Parker cant get that
The fight with Itauma probably doesn't make sense for Hrgovic, too much risk for too little reward. But the irony is he was ducked by guys for that same reason and now he's on the other side he's doing the same thing those that ducked him did. But yeah can't blame him for not taking the fight.
Hrgovic is just in too good of a position now to take the risky Itauma fight without a big payday attached. This is in contrast to before where he really didn't have as much to lose. Plus I suspect with the change in camp that Hrgovic has found a bit of fire and ambition again.
Warren moaning as per usual. Time and again you have to massively overpay an opponent if you want to put credible opponents in front of a blue chip prospect. Has Warren said what Hrgovic is asking for?
Yeah, its the name of the game IBF did him real dirty, no need for that anymore He needs to focus to get most out of the remaining few years of career cuz he didnt earn **** compared to Dubois Usyk and Joshua and Fury
