Canelo hasn't stopped anyone in years and has looked quite lackluster in alot of his fights just doing enough to win whilst not really looking impressive.

People will point to the Madrimov fight but Madrimov has some of the best feet in boxing where as Canelo has concrete feet.

Crawford is taller with a significantly longer reach and whilst its guess work how Crawford will look at 168 I think he has a better chance than alot of people on this forum give him.

Canelo looks lean and ripped. He will be much faster than in recent years.

He's gonna be looking for a counter uppercut on the inside.

I think Crawford will surprise people with his performance. Is this a money grab? Yes but people said the same about Pacquiao/De La Hoya.

Crawford has good movement, he'll force Canelo to press and walk him down and Crawford will evade and counter. I think stylistically this is problematic for Canelo, he doesn't do well when he's forced to chase.

I have money on Canelo but I does seem like a good chance with what Bud looks like that he is just going to go to war. It is hard to see what the game plan is other than going to war and letting the chips fall as they may.
I am basically hedged and will be cheering for Bud to do the near impossible.

I agree totally. To add onto to what you were saying, I read a Breadman Edwards article a while back where he was asked what each P4Per’s best skill was and he said that Crawford’s was “threading the needle” as he called it. Crawford is exemplary at picking out openings to land while you are throwing and, for the most part, can avoid return fire if he’s focused. Another one of his best qualities is his spitefulness as well though, which is great for finishing guys off once he has them hurt, but isn’t so good when he goes gunning for the knockout without setting it up or just looks to brawl. I think the latter trait could be his downfall and I think he lacks the discipline and the legs at his age to box and move for 12 rounds. He’s just not that kind of fighter, which everyone seems to be forgetting, including Breadman who’s picking Crawford and is even giving Bud a chance of stopping Canelo, which to me seems absurd.

Canelo is just not that good. Every time he fought a great boxer, he got exposed. He avoided challenges for years and never gave the good fighters a chance. Years of cherry picking created the illusion that he's a better fighter than he really is.

He should have fought Benevidez when he had the chance instead of suffering though this embarrassing defeat.
