This content is protected Interesting... I do think that Crawford from tonight or the Spence fight woulda beat the breaks off of a 152 lbs green Canelo Floyd fought.
Agreed actually! Lol crawford is the 3rd best fighter of his generation. Behind Oleksandr Usyk and The Monster ‘Bud’ has done well for himself and picked himself up in the pros after failing to make the Olympics. I think he deserves credit.
That Canelo that Floyd fought robbed Lara and arguably lost to Trout came close at least. Bud might have shut him out. Canelo was never a special P4P fighter at 154. Cottos bro hurt him badly 2 before the Floyd fight and if Canelo had to cut that extra 2lbs too then Bud might have stopped him.
Picking Canelo to beat Crawford like many did is what I have to refer to a low IQ boxing pick because when you look at both fighters it’s very clear who is the more skilled complete fighter. I have said it before and will keep saying it that at the elite level skills wins fights not size.
I picked Canelo to win tonight so did all the bookies. I also picked Crawford to stop Spence I think anyone who picked Spence to beat him was pretty low IQ.
Size and skill both matter. Crawford would be knocked out by Gassiev 100 times out of 100. Despite Crawford being the better and more skilled fighter.
Even those of us who are Spence fans knew that there was serious jeopardy for Spence if he could not execute especially as Spence came to take out Crawford. Crawford skills are clearly superior to Canelo’s as is his athleticism. People like you based your prediction on Canelo being the so called bigger stronger man missing in the key intangibles such as Will, determination, athletic ability, speed of feet and hand, positioning, movement and physical strength. In round 1 of the Spence fight which looked like a feel out round, the trained eyes like man realised that EJ was in trouble. He perhaps could have switched tactics but he was locked in. Canelo was shocked by Crawford’s physical strength and punching power. He realised he could not get to Bud but that if he stepped out of line and throw caution to the wind he would get stopped so Canelo accepted his fate and lost on points. EJ stepped out of line and got stopped. Do your revision.
Only because Crawford wanted to level off on Canelo's basic noggin whilst Floyd ran around picking him for 12 rounds
Nah. Floyd won by a larger margin even though that one judge had it a draw. Crawford won by 8 rounds, Floyd arguably won by 10 or 11 rounds.
