My kind of tear up. Marciano would be faced with a man who could punch and would even be a heavyweight in the modern day heavyweight division. Despite that, I can see Marciano coming back from a knockdown to stop Baer late or win a UD.
Buddy wasn’t very good and his defence was porous to say the least. He might knock Rocky down but Marciano was harder to hit clean than it initially appears. Rocky would hit Buddy often. Given that he would likely win by stoppage if not UD. While a good big man should beat a good little man, Rocky was an outstanding little man and even as a big man to call Buddy adequate as a world class heavyweight would be a bit delusional.
Buddy was very strong and could knock anybody out he could connect on, but I see him having a very hard time landing clean on Marciano. Buddy also could be worn down when a lot of pressure was applied on him, which is something Marciano excelled at, so I see Marciano stopping him within 8 rounds.
Marciano was the better fighter. But it would be a very different experience for him to face a much larger puncher in his prime. Not sure what to predict here
