An absolute shutout against a legitimate world-level contender, just another day at the office for The Monster.

It's always like this in Japan. You should be thankful they didn't rob Inoue.

Guys, I just watched this fight again on 150x speed and Inoue may've lost this one.

Picasso stands no chance. Just bring on Junto already.

Inoue should move up in weight in the next fight. There's no dangerous guy at 122 for him to fight anymore.

Don't know if I'd rather be a foreign fighter fighting in the USA or UK, or a Japanese fighter fighting in Japan.

Is MJ the first man who was never knocked down by Inoue? or may be 2nd or 3rd?

Even when he didn't get the finish in past, Inoue managed to produce at least 1 KD like in the 1st Donaire fight

If he is indeed the 1st or 2nd, I guess MJ can count that as an achievement because otherwise it was a shutout 120-108 for Inoue

He’ll get more credit for Junto than any 126 guy. Only opportunity he’s had to fight a pound for pounder

Really good performance by Inoue. He fought within himself and just outboxed MJ and whenever MJ put his foot on the pedal and tried to impose himself on Inoue, Inoue would move up a gear briefly and put him back in his place with a 5, 6 or 7 punch attack letting him know who the boss was.

MJ needed to let his hands go more but he was struggling to close the distance often. He proved he had a good set of whiskers but, as said, Inoue boxed more conservatively and never really tried to get him out of there

I could barely keep my eyes open in the second half of the fight

He, Usyk and Crawford could all fight their last fights next year. We could really do with one or more of them losing before that happens but it's hard to see, Junto might be the heir apparent, Bivol and Rodriguez if Junto loses to or doesn't fight Inoue.

Ryoichi Taguchi never went down when he fought Inoue. Apart from that, Inoue has dropped everyone else he's fought.

Very impressed with Inoue, Very disappointed in MJ.

I dont like it when fighters reside to a decision loss, i thought he would have more pride than that, the writing was on the wall pretty early, if he opened up he was getting taken out, still, however, if he opened up i think that was his best chance at clipping Inoue. Guess he wasnt willing to risk being stopped for a better chance at victory. Brilliant job, impressive display, bring on Nakatani.

Assuming he gets past Nakatani, vacate all belts, and enjoy the rest of your career in super fights across all the weights. Would love to see him in with some Feathers, Bam, maybe even push to lightweight if theres a favourable match up. If he was to retire after Nakatani, so be it, legacy cemented, shame hes still not getting the actual credit he deserves in my opinion from the casual audience.
