I predict the winner won't go near Iglesias with a ten-foot pole. That's an actual big, prime, talented and fresh big punching 168 pounder who would knock Crawford out and maybe even grind down and stop this pedestrian past his prime Clenelo Crawford wouldn't be trying to become champ at 168 if Benavidez was the champ instead of Clenelo either because he actually is much bigger than him, with a slightly longer reach than him despite being a natural LHW, and is fresh, dynamic, and firing on full cylinders and actually throws combinations not relying on singles like this version of Clenelo. FTR, I wouldn't blame him for not doing so but a Crawford vs Benavidez match up would actually be what they're selling Clenelo vs Crawford as in many regards Benavidez's little bro gave Crawford plenty of problems and with his height and range and counter punching he was able to use that range to fight Crawford at the range Crawford is able to fight everyone else at and lean or step back from his shots and make Crawford fall short or have to reach in with his shots just like Crawford's opponents often have to with him. David Benavidez would brutalize Crawford in 3-4 rounds max and KO him.
Good but not enough. 8-4, 7-5 x2 against a 35 year old that you're larger than is great under the circumstances but not as good as dusting a bigger opponent who is in his prime in 5 rounds. I don't know enough about Inoue to compare Crawford with him. Canelo is overrated and shot. That's my biggest takeaway for the night. But Bud was great.
