Floyd had a tough fight with Cotto and Manny destroyed and stopped Cotto, yet Floyd beat Manny in a close decision? Floyd dominated and outclassed JMM (after voiding their 144 CW the day before the fight) yet Manny had WARS with JMM. Manny dominated Mosley from pillar to post and Floyd was almost KO by Mosley yet Floyd beat Manny. Add in their performances with Hatton and DLH for good effect.

Its triangle theory. Just because A beat B and B beat C doesnt mean A beats C. Styles make fights and timing matters.

I think Manny wins every single fight Floyd had except for maybe prime Canelo at 154. I dont like the style matchup for Manny although Manny mightve still won.

Floyd didnt fight prime ATG fighters like Morales or MAB. He literally, remarkably, has zero wins over prime ATG fighters despite fighting at the same time as Mosley, DLH, Cotto, and Manny.

I think Floyd would've struggled mightily with Crawford. So much so that I dont think the fight wouldve happened. At all.

That's exactly who I mean. Do ypu know by any chance the circumstances in that sparring match? Was FM training for several hours before he stepped in with Spence, was he rotating fresh bodies in during a long sparring traing session etc. Or were both men fresh and Spence was the better man that day?

 

Floyd as Crawford is not a pressure boxer which is the style that can actually give Floyd fits.

 

Nobody who knows will talk about it. Styles make fights and Floyd wouldve had a tough fight with Spence every time they fought. Thats why Floyd kept saying Spence was the WW heir because Spence whooped his ass.

 

Prime Floyd not 147 and above Floyd would beat Crawford. People forget how explosive and ruthless Floyd was in his absolute prime.

 

If they fought and there was proper drug testing and not Mayweather being looked after by NYSAC and USADA,Crawford beats him and most likely comfortably !

 

i think bud manhandles floyd. not just the size, but the technique, and the reach, which allows him to impose a significantly higher threat, than most anyone floyd ever faced, to everything floyd does. you combine that with buds spite, and his determination to never give you free shots, and i see nothing but problems for floyd.
i have zero doubts as to whether bud can duplicate and improve on what maidana could do. hes got the size covered.
