If anything it exposed Crawford a bit, dude looked barely any smaller than Canelo, what tf was he doing bullying lightweights and welterweights all this time while Canelo was beating guys twice his size.
I had Trout winning. I had Trout winning 3 out of the first four rounds, then open scoring showed up after the fourth and the judges had it in the reverse 3-1 Canelo, at that point I knew the fix was in, and it was. I had Lara only winning by one round. Notice the pattern, Canelo always gets the win. Mayweather, then the two GGG fights, who doesn't get a win? You got it, Canelo's apponent. Canelo earned his wins vs Callum Smith, plant, Saunders, yildrim , Fielding,Kovalev, Jacob's, GGG 3, RYDER, Munguia, Berlanga , Scarred, Cotto, Angelo, Chavez Jr, L, Smith, Khan, Kirkland, Lopez, Mosley, Clinton, Gomez Rhodes M,Hatton, The cash cow would have done just fine without stealing from other fighters legacies. Is the mount Rushmore of Canelo Victor's only 3 people? Of coarse not. Trout was okay, but that night, he beat Canelo.
Arum really had the best breakdown before the fight. Canelo has really just become a businessman for years now. Forget silk pajamas. Hard to do roadwork at 5am when you can just roll around in all your money.
Yeah at lightweight and welterweight lol, amazing fighter but that aspect of his career is the definition of a weight-bully.
Canelo is totally shot to pieces, not making excuses as i was never fan of his and some of his wins are robberies anyway, has no stamina to fight for 12 rounds and has to be given free rounds by the judges.
I had it 2-2 the first 4 rounds. People gave Canelo rounds 2 & 4 because of some clean shots he landed in those. I don’t remember the rest, but the early fight I had completely even. Canelo got the win because of the knock down in the second half.
It was no fluke, Trout had beaten Cotto 9-3 in his previous fight, but he unfortunately ran into the cash cow that was already signed to fight Mayweather. There was zero chance of Trout getting the decision in retrospect.
not much difference in his performance. he still has speed, he was still able to cut off the ring, his defence was still high level. one thing i noticed is that he waited too much for bud to attack so he could counter him. he would walk down and cut off the ring on bud, then he would just wait there in front of him, coiled up. he should have been punching. i dont know if he was waiting as part of a strategy, or if he was afraid of missing. bud makes you pay when you miss. one of his biggest strengths is his ability to anticipate. if you throw a punch, he knows what angles will be exposed and which defensive move can put him on those angles. he also maintains focus so that he is always ready for the 3rd or 4th punch if the guy is slow pulling back. makes it hard to commit or lean in. technically and performance level were not far off from each other, it was a close fight. but bud was the clear winner. bud just fought his fight, and canelo didnt push the issue about it.
