Netflix numbers are always a bit squishy, and this is less than half the 108M viewers they claimed for Jake Paul v. Mike Tyson, but, still, some numbers that would suggest Canelo was right when he contradicted Max Kellerman during the pre-fight presser.

To paraphrase Canelo: Boxing is still pretty big (and doesn't necessarily need Dana White to save it...)

Crazy numbers. Hopefully Netflix picks up more boxing!

If they don't get better commentators than Kellerman and Ward, far fewer people will watch.

    They were terrible, especially Kellerman.

Has to be more than that figure. I was at a bar with probably 50 people watching.

I'd be way fine with that. I appreciate DAZN, but their app -- while it works relatively OK on my laptop -- sucks on my Samsung TV.

Their layout also sucks. Accessing what is their boxing library is absolutely ass. Either you know exactly what you are looking for, or you end up endlessly scrolling through the website.

But I do appreciate them putting on so many small and obscure shows, its great.

Super fights are bigger than UFC. Regular fight nights are not. And in some places, particularly Mexico, boxing is bigger at all times -- so, Canelo is weighting things a bit by what he sees in his own country.

Big fights in the US are often 'free' in Mexico (as in, some beer brand paid for the rights and the air time, but net result is no PPV fees for viewers). There's regularly small events put up on regular cable channels.

Never been to the UK, but I'd guess it's the same.

Hope netflix has all the big fights in the future. Flawless quality even when rewinding during live. Wont miss a thing! Buffering was crazy fast too.

However get rid of that clown skipper or whatever that had the unofficial scorecards and get a new broadcast team FFS.

I knew I had it good when it was Lederman and Lampley

I'm just glad that there were no buffering issues like there was for Paul-Tyson. The whole broadcast went smooth.

I actually think that they don't need to have mega fights to get a huge audience on Netflix. A well matched card like Turki does, 3 or 4 world championships , marketed on the home page, would do great business. This would be like having HBO back but on steroids, if you pardon the irony.
