Disappointing. https://boxrec.com/en/event/931021 Personally, I think there should always be an interesting matchup or two on the undercard of a PPV. Several years ago, we seemed to always have several good fights on PPVs, but less so in recent years, except on Turki's events.
Warren normally tries to get the cheapest under card fights he thinks he can get away with, so don't expect anything too good. This is PPV in the UK and in the O2, so I expect he will at least try and add something decent to the under card to justify it.
In truth this shouldn’t be a PPV fight so there needs to be a good undercard but no announcement a month out doesn’t fill me with confidence. I can see this doing poor numbers. I bought the Itauma v Whyte fight about 30 minutes before it started (instead of being a keeno and buying days in advance as per usual) and at that time dazn were giving a decent discount on it so I’ll try this strategy in future.
I hope I'm wrong but I saw the undercard somewhere, and it looked s**t. Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley Lewis Edmondson vs Ezra Taylor Denzel Bentley vs Endry Saavedra Royston Barney-Smith vs Danny Quartermaine Jadier Herrera vs Ricardo Núñez
Am I right in thinking that Australians the same as New Zealanders are used to paying PPV for cards like this? As long as I can remember we have had to pay PPV for nearly any boxing card, so we are pretty used to it now. Not like people in the US or UK who seem to have had a few free cards through out the years.
Dear God. I hope it tanks to teach Warren a little lesson. I very much like Parker for the way he carries himself and that he’ll fight anyone so I’ll be paying and will be a hypocrite.
I'm not 100% sure thats the undercard, I'm going off these different sources below: This content is protected This content is protected But yeah, any interesting top 10 HW fight - I'll be paying for it, watching high level HW boxing is my favourite hobby.
Indeed. I'd like to have seen Itauma on it, even if it was against a weak but durable gatekeeper at least that would give him rounds - Gassiev, Riakporhe or something would have been reasonable. Or Kabayel, but hes headlining a show in Germany apparently against an very unproven and ancient prospect Hysa - of all fighters.
That's not a PPV-worthy card, so I'm going to watch it as a non-PPV. Not going to pay for Warren's scrimping. Wardley-Parker is a fun fight, but I'd want at least one more solid fight on there. Promoters are way too fast and loose with what they call PPV these days...
the US gets zero for free. Occasionally there’s a decent card on DAZN for no additional fee beyond the subscription, but that’s it. want to hear who has it good? Mexico. The beer brands basically subsidize the PPV buy for the entire country. They pay for the rights to show it in the country, and then the event is broadcast for free with the beer company as the sponsors. This is a bit of a generalization, but they get a lot for free.
