I want to see this fight. Crawford winning that would teach people a lesson about how so many divisions have tricked us to overhandicap weight. Crawford is taller with a longer reach then Canelo but Crawford started at 140 and climbed to 154 Canelo started at 154 and climbed to 168/175. So we acted like Crawford was breaking a glass ceiling thats mostly made up.

Weight classes are there because most smaller boxers couldn't go pro in an open sport and the guys who could deserve an equal oppurtunity to win titles and be champion. This does not mean the best guys ever at these divisions have no chance at even HW. These 7 pound differences and long climbs up the weight ladder have made us lose sight of that. A lot of this is institutional.

This. Crawford is very good indeed, but people seem to have forgotten that Canelo is pretty faded and that styles make fights!

I don't think we'll ever see Bivol vs. Crawford, the size difference between the two is too great. Bivol has some interesting fights at light heavyweight, I'm thinking of Benavidez and the conclusion of the trilogy with Beterbiev.

I appreciate Troll Threads like this breaking up the monotony on the board.
