I had it 115-113 for Usyk I think a draw would've been acceptable I don't see how you could have Breidis winning This was the only time I can remember that Usyk was tired in a fight (if there's another time please let me know) and someone got the better of Usyk in the championship rounds What did you guys think
An optimal card is 7-5 for Usyk I think. So you'd have to disagree on that card to have Briedis winning. The truth is though, the rounds Usyk won he won pretty clean, he was a delight of surge in that fight. It might be harder in this fight than in a normal fight, but for sure, from ringside, it could absolutely happen. Unsighted for two clean punches in the twelfth, you might call that found for Briedis, for real.
To me it felt like Uysk's toughest fight or at the least in the top 2. I do still agree Uysk won though. But to have it as wide as 10-2 or 9-3 I feel like you have to give Uysk all the close rounds and all almost all the benefit of the doubt.
I don't believe Briedis won. Rather, Usyk got the best out of him and his performance seemed impressive, but was not enough.
8-4, 7-5 Usyk Obviously it was in Briedis' backyard too and Briedis was a fantastic fighter and a very complete one who had no real weaknesses in any area Massive puncher Explosive Fast Iron chin Physical strength Excellent footwork Technically very sound High ring IQ Could box and fight equally well Very good counter puncher Combination puncher Nice punch arsenal Good engine Big heart No real weakness in any area I can think of and strong or very in many
I've watched it several times. Can't ever get to the point where I have Briedis winning, even as competitive as it was. I generally settle on 116-112 Usyk. Awesome fight.
You know these AI stats only count if they back my preferred fighter! But seriously, I think Briedis is one of those fighters who will be more appreciated as the years go by. Without Usyk around I reckon he would have ruled Cruiserweight and was unlucky to run into a generational great in Usyk.
I need to rescore it. I had it 7-5 Usyk. 9-3 or 10-2 Usyk is far too wide. I often felt Breidis was landing the harder shots. I had the last round for Breidis too. The right hands he landed in the last round were dynamite. Great fight.
8-4 Usyk the two close rounds were 2 and 12 Usyk landed more clean shots but Bredidis landed the harder ones but I have both to Usyk especially 12th were aside from hurting him it was all Usyk
