...man, wtf is keeping Morillo up?

And how did Alan Chaves drop him thrice and stop him in two rounds?

Everybody in the YouTube comments has been whining all night about being impatient to see "Canelito". Just figured out who that is...Gleybert Maia, undefeated bantamweight. Probably up next.

    Raúl Morillo weeping inconsolably.

Now, the shutout card was BS - he did earn at least a round or two - but he can't possibly think he won. The other two judges were absolutely in the correct range.

Aw jeez, now Crazy Horse Rodríguez is crying tears of joy in his victory interview.

Regular waterworks in there (and I don't just mean the swamp-like ring conditions :sisi1)

The ring announcer said this was for some WBA trinket...didn't catch exactly which, and obviously can't just check on BoxRec, so... :nusenuse:

    Stolen valor!

...this "Canelito" isn't even ginger. Dark brown hair. :nono:

    Round 1

Díaz is watching Maia circle, turning with a high guard. Cautious jabs from both. Díaz tries a pair of right hands up top after swaying from side to side. Maia dashes in with some hooks, caught on the outer arms of Díaz. Slingshot rights by Díaz, blocked. He loads another one and pulls it. Maia with a quick 1-2-3 darting in but Díaz able to pull back and avoid all of it with his chin tucked and hands down. Díaz swaying away from Maia's jab. Heavy flurry by Díaz and Maia goes down to all fours and is hit while down - ruled a push. I'll want to see a replay there.

    10-9 Díaz

Useless punks showed a bunch of irrelevant highlights from the rest of the round, nothing of the sequence where Maia went down. :shakehead:

    Round 2

Wild overhands by Díaz. Maia with a body combo, gets the crowd roaring above the obnoxious sound of the vuvuzelas. Maia starting to walk forward and score his jab past Díaz's, and whip in body shots. Díaz clinches as Maia dives in hitting the body. Strapping right by Díaz, and Maia responds with a flurry pushing Díaz into the ropes, then an incidental rabbit punch while leaning down on him.

    10-9 Maia

    19-19

"La Víbora" initiating most of the clinches and being negative/dirty - but honestly Canelito isn't justifying the hype. From the buzz all night you'd have thought he was Venezuela's best young prospect. He's struggling badly with a 10-5 opponent.
