Alright guys, lets have it! Who do you think is the most unlikely candidate to win a world title? My vote goes to Sergiy Derevyanchenko. I believe he has the heart and grit to stay at world level despite his age. And eventually the boxing gods will shine bright upon him. There is an argument to be made that he is actually undefeated. This content is protected Despite the setbacks, I am still pretty high on Ericson Lubin. He is still quite young and I think he will eventually grab a world title.
lubin to me has always just been short. but he still has a few rolls of the dice and i think he is fantastic. he is my choice when i read the thread.
Eubank Jr. The guy is like 36 years old now an he’s hasn’t even had a world title fight in all the years he’s been pro. Sure he’s getting headlines for fighting benn an other brits in domestic fights in england but the guy has no ambition on the world stage
I don't think he's going to beat Parker, but the man can punch real hard and has shown the heart to stay in a fight where's getting his ears boxed off and keep trying to land the big punch. Give him a title challenge against a guy with a suspect chin and give him some luck and never know. Dubois had a title. Dubois got knocked out twice by Usyk. Wardley hits an order of magnitude harder than Usyk. Just saying -- you can easily contrive a scenario where Wardley wins a title someday.
I also like SD, he is a bad, tough guy with a lot of staying power. With different judges he might have gotten different decisions in his biggest fights, and I think that does a lot for a man.
