I always found 'em fascinating. Stuff like Barrera's brother cryin' after that groundshakin' Pac performance move sumthin' in me.

You got Lederman (RIP) appreciating Chavez work yet to a more attentive, (non-casual) eye, this battle was a masterclass in counterpunching.
There is a fragment of Chavez parents huddling together anxiously after watchin' their son eatin' so many punches.

This was helluva slugfest in full Holyfield style. Stewart couldn't outbrawl the atg warrior. Now I wonder how Stewart child felt watchin' his dad being overwhelmed by his opponent and havin a face so full of bloody cuts.

Similar to the first match I posted, I couldn't imagine being Lenny and not reactin like "Look how he massacred my boy" after assistin' this. Would have stopped it sooner yet I'm surprised Mancini wasn't ruined after takin' such punishment in young age, a legendary encounter fo' sho'.

When Sor Rungvisai starched Roman Gonzalez in their rematch, the latter's girlfriend went running screaming out of the arena (see the 21:30 mark below):

I don't have any film clips but I've read that Smokin' Joe's family all went to pieces after his 1st fight with George. I think one of his sister's fainted and of course, it was a shock for Marvis to have to witness.

Wow, it's amazing how this simple thread set a memory in motion that I hadn't thought about for some time. It was a mid-70s ring magazine article (in their regional fight results section for anyone who remembers them). It was a Davy Hilton, Sr. Against upcoming hotshot Ray Elson. The way the writer described it was palpable. He described Elson hammering the veteran and his young sons at ringside with their mother, crying and screaming, "Daddy!"

Well, we all know who the young sons were. And I think that was why the memory stuck with me all these years. But it was truly heartbreaking the way the writer described it.

I saw Marco Antonio Barrera in the crowd watching his brother lose to Johnny Tapia. Barrera was normally stoic during his own fights. Watching his brother fight, his face was as expressive as a diva during the silent movie era. I also saw them spar and they fought like brothers.

Cotto's family crying after the first Margarito fight is harrowing, especially considering the situation of the plastered hand wraps.

I don't know if there's footage of it but Leonard's wife was also crying before fainting during Montreal

They used to show Frank Fletcher’s mom cheering him on at pretty much all of his fights — she saw him handing out some butt-whippings and catching some, too.

Jerry and Mike Quarry beaten up in front of family members that were ringside. Mike Quarry's mother fainted when he was knocked out cold by Bob Foster.

I remember watching this. Camera showed Mr. Mancini quite often. I felt bad for him when they put the camera back on him after Ray lost. Arguello was such a true pro and understood what respect was all about. He was beating the breaks off Ray and as soon as it's over he's more concerned with consoling Ray than celebrating. They were just as cool with each other before the fight as well. No acting like fools to each other which is so common today.

I remember Jeff Lacy's partner/GF screaming "c'mon baby, knock him out already", or words to that effect, very loudly, non stop, for virtually the full 12 rounds vs Calzaghe, from her ringside seat.

Poor guy was having a tough enough night as it was, without that adding to his woes.

And my favourite. Big brother watches his little brother get stomped, and you know what's coming:
