So, you just can't bring yourself to watch the third fight? I take it you want to remember GGG for the way he was, right? I've learned to appreciate the positives in it. I had round one for Golovkin, then Canelo won 2-8, 2 or 3 of them could have been swing rounds, then Golovkin winning the last 4, but they were pretty close, but so were some of the earlier rounds. Boxrec fans gave it 8-4 Canelo. You can see how smart Golovkin was with his defense. It seemed like he could have given more though.
Yeah, i liked Abel, but but he kissed Canelo a** little too much after the 2nd fight, to compensate for how much he mouthed off before the fight. I think Golovkin got tired of trying to live up to Abels boisterous boasts. That and the money.
For some reason I keep thinking GGG vs Berlanga would be a great 168lb comeback apponent. It has all the ingredients for a great comeback fight.
If he doesn't look good in the tune up, people will lose interest but if he looks too good, Bud might not want the fight.
He has to look good to make people forget about the 3rd Canelo fight. He seemed like like he was there to pick up a pay check, then retire. He needs to be GGG again, the ko machine to gain public trust again.
War Golovkin. Beating Crawford at 43 is a stretch but would like to see if he still has any legs And Golovkin at 35 would smash the current version of Canelo
Eubank apparently found his pen because he’s now open to fighting GGG What a clown, shameless duck and only wants him now cause he’s 43 and hasn’t fought in 3 years
not normally a fan of any fighter coming out of retirement. ok.....consistency being the hobgoblin of little minds...maybe. so...must have a little mind....would like any boxer that made it through....to stay retired. with a small reservation. when you are at the top.the body is such a finely tuned machine... many people get in shape...do push ups, sit ups, pull ups....run...lift weights...maybe even the heavy bag. very few understand this part......you have to fight....and fight for a long time.this is more than "being in shape...much more...a different thing entirely." you have to be able to fight and relax and know how to deliver power at the right time. so much to learn....more than that...it all has to become second nature to you...muscle memory and then some. people talk about ring iq...ok....but sometimes the ability to feel what is right without thinking much.... you get to that point....and without receiving significant damage.... I believe a rest....can rejuvenate....desire....while also letting the body heal and recharge. on the level of a GGG.......Have said all that to say....would like to see him try a comeback. could still have enough left to shock and win a belt and take us along for the ride. If he wants to do it....I'm in his corner. oh....and I sure as hell wouldn't want him to take the Crawford fight for a comeback fight. Crawford is a lot. would be a fight I would love to see eventually.
