How does AJ compare to Lewis? More power, less movement? Physically they are quite a close match as well.
In my opinion Aj is like a bigger, slightly faster Bruno, better combination puncher and footwork but a worse jab. Joshua similarities to Lewis are size and power. Lewis is stylistically closer to Fury, aj doesn't know how to double or triple his jab, or manipulate people with the lead hand, and Fury is actually a better inside fighter than joshua like Lewis, but nowhere near as polished as Lewis. Fury is sloppy when he's forced to be aggressive. I think Lewis is stronger too. Fury is better on the backfoot though
Yeah yeah, whatever makes you feel better. “Insulting people” for just expressing my opinion, toxic fans like you will be why boxing dies.
Usyk can stand and box with anyone and get at least a slight advantage in blows connected. Lewis I think is the only one where that won’t be enough. Lewis has so many ways he can attack. He could rough Usyk up like he did with Vitali which turned the fight around.
Just to add a few things to this conversation. I'm not trying to make excuses for Lewis but he was on the comeback trail and looking to prove himself after the upset loss to McCall. Lewis was also trying to get a fight vs Tyson at the time so I think he brawled more vs Mercer to show his toughness and to prove he could be an exciting fighter to the American public. Lewis got off to a bad start vs Mercer but was starting to do better in the 2nd half of the fight no different to Usyk struggling in some of his Heavyweight fights in the early going. It's worth noting Usyk needed the championship rounds to distance himself from Chisora, Fury 1, Joshua 2, as the judges after 10 rounds had all these fights pretty much even on the scorecards. Infact had all the fights above been scheduled for 10 rounds. Usyk/Joshua 2 would've been a majority draw. Usyk/Chisora would’ve been a majority draw. Usyk/Fury 1 would've been a split decision loss for Usyk. Had Lewis had 12 rounds vs Mercer more than likely he would've distanced himself from Mercer in the championship rounds also.
Those fights appeared to be far wider wins for Usyk than official scorecards suggest. Most people had him beating Chisora 9-3 which would have been 7-3 in a ten rounder. Likewise Usyk appeared to win by a much bigger margin in Joshua 2.
Actually alot of people had Usyk/Chisora 8-4 with some believing Chisora may of won 5 rounds. Regardless each of those fights were close fights after 10 rounds in which Usyk needed the championship rounds to distance himself from those fighters. It's no different to Lewis/Mercer being close after 10 rounds in which more than likely Lewis would've distanced himself from Mercer in championship rounds like Usyk did in his fights.
Usyk outlanded Joshua and Chisora in 9 out of 12 rounds. If we give Usyk every round in which he landed more punches he wins those fights 7-3. Don't see how anyone could reasonably give Chisora 5 rounds. You can make a better case for Lewis losing to Mercer than Chisora winning 5 rounds.
As I said before, a fighter who gets knocked out by McCall and Rahman has nothing to ask for against Usyk...
Your opinion and useless punchstat statistics are irrelevant. The fact is 2 judges had the Chisora fight even after 10 rounds and it would've been scored a majority draw had it been scheduled for 10 rounds. The fight was objectively very close after 10 rounds with Chisora winning 3 out of the first 4 rounds and winning the 10th round. It's also not out of the realms a judge could've found another round for Chisora based on aggression. Most of Usyk's Heavyweight fights barring the Dubois fights have been decided in the championship rounds which is a fact.
