    https://ringmagazine.com/en/news/moses-itauma-next-opponent-michael-hunter-david-adeleye

Both Hunter and especially Adeleye are mediocre at best, with Adeleye a good journeyman and Hunter a weak gatekeeper right now. Hunter is probably pretty faded and inconsistent these days but he is more proven than Adeleye. I can't see either one lasting long with Itauma.

How on earth Michael Hunter is ranked 10th worldwide on BoxRec is beyond me. He had a respectable run from 2017 to 2019, but since then hes just done almost nothing.

Sanchez, Ajagba, Chisora all would be much better options for Itauma next.

Agree. If everyone is saying he's the dogs rollocks then let's put him in with someone. He should get the Parker/Warley loser minimum and in the meantime justis huni or chisora

Miller would be a great opponent for Itauma, he may not be the most skilled but he is quite big, durable and has a great chin and would definitely give Itauma some solid rounds...

Chisora has already turned the fight down, and Huni would get flattened as soon as Itauma caught him, probably in the first 2 rounds. It's a high-risk low low-reward fight for many gatekeepers. It should be Miller or Franklin. Durable guys who can give him rounds and won't be on their back after one decent shot, but Franklin has turned the fight down, and I imagine Miller will be asking for major $ - getting a fight for Itauma shouldn't be this difficult, but it shows just how good he is.

Itauma needs rounds and so fight someone who's awkward with a decent defence.

Adeleye is as basic as they come.

Hunter was decent but is now pretty much shot.

Franklin or Huni would be decent choices.

He needs someone that can test his chin.

You can't go from calling out Hrgovic to fighting someone he shut out.

    I'm torn on Itauma

On one hand he's 20 and has 13 fights which suggests why not go for some soft touch that can take him rounds

On the other hand he's headlining pay per views so he can be held to a higher standard, especially if they expect people to fork over PPV dollars

You can't have the soft touches and the PPVs though (or maybe Warren thinks he can)

To be fair Whyte used to headline a fair bit of PPV fights himself.

Adeleye’s stock improved a bit for me with his last fight. He stayed in there and stayed dangerous the entire fight, despite being continually outboxed and losing all but that round he scored a KO in.
