I only asked because you generally seem to be (in my opinion) awfully harsh on Kabayel. In my view, there is no doubt whatsoever that Parker is most deserving, and Kabayel is right behind him. I'm not even sure who I'd consider third most deserving, simply because those two are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of "deserving" a crack at Usyk.

Fans of almost every fighter seem to think I'm harsh on their boy, so at least I'm consistent, I guess!

In my mind Parker is a long way clear of Kabayel unless you overrate Makh and Sanchez who haven't really done an awful lot to be considered more than low level gatekeepers at best.

I'd agree, there's nobody close to them - again, though, to my mind that's because the division looks pretty thin and in transition between eras... And unless good fights get made, it'll take a while for it to start to feel like it's taking shape again.

I don't have any massive beef with Kabayel, but I'm not a fan of guys who look talented wasting years (or careers) fighting bums to protect zeros - and Kabayel has that in his past, but I'd been happy he seemed to be moving away from it... This fight feels like one step back in the grave - let's hope it isn't!

I think if we go by rankings at time of win in current win streak then Parker is clearly the top with 2 x top 5 and 1 x top 10 win.

    Then Kabayel with 1 x top 5, 1 x top 10 and 1 x top 20.

Then honestly, its probably Chisora with 2 x top 15 wins in Joyce and Wallin (Wallin was still ranked decently high at the time)

Followed by Hrgovic or Wardley with a top 15 and top 20 win apiece. Though I'd probably rank Huni higher over washed Joyce.

So as Bubbles was saying, outside of Parker and then Kabayel, there is not really a strong stack of contenders with recent wins floating around.

I think most are waiting to see which way Usyk jumps as no one wants to lose their position if there is to be an imminent lolly scramble of belts.

It'll be a tough fight, 50/50, Kabayel chose himself a challenging opponent.

    I'm joking.

Kabayel by KO in 1, and I have no idea who Hysa is.

Wasn't Okolie calling him out for a while? I'm guessing Kabayel doesn't want to risk his title shot without a massive payday, and nobody capable of giving him that payday gains anything from fighting him at the moment.

I'd like him to fight and fight someone decent. don't think that's asking much for a top contender who has been sitting about for 9+ months.

I think he should be up for a title shot but Usyk is done for the year. Parker is tied up, Dubois is done for the year, Joshua is done for the year, Fury may be done forever, Wilder is realistically finished, Bakole, Ajagba etc..........it's doubtful any of them fight again this year. It's 4th quarter and he's been out. Better to just move his hands than not at this point.

Hysa is so overrated he only beat journeymans all of his career and he have 41... even Labinot Xhoxhaj the weak European champion can beat him pretty easily.

I'm pretty sure than Christian Hammer & Alexander Dimitrenko & Albert Sosnowski was far superior in the past than Nelson Hysa too.

In Hysas defense he had 4 fights, it was a 6 rounder and he won a shutout.

Okolie is injured, I think he did his bicep and needed surgery or something like that. But otherwise it would have been a decent match.
