Joshua is not standing up to that power. If only Corrie didn't view boxing as something to do in between rounds of golf. RIP.

I think AJ is a fine boxer but Sanders was a destructive force when he was switched on. If you look at the AJ / Wlad fight, Wlad was missing with his left hook by fractions of a second all night long. Sanders was considerably faster than Wlad and a natural brawler. If he detonated his left straight on AJ's less than fabulous chin, he'd finish him fast.

Joshua is there for that counter left down the middle, I don’t rule Joshua rally mid-late rounds and stopping him, but it’s a strong possibility that Sanders catches the stiff Joshua early on with that left/counter left.

Joshua is underrated on here. Sanders was good but the Wlad fight was his only great win. He lost to Rahman who was nothing special. Whereas Joshua has wins over multiple guys who achieved a lot more than Sanders did. Obviously Sanders has the power to knock him out but people are acting like Joshua is just gonna stand there with his chin out. Well, okay… he did that in the Dubois fight. But before Boxercise Ben worked his magic AJ had solid defence.

Every fantasy match up with Sanders revolves around his Wlad win. He was a good fighter but that one win makes him overrated.

Why didn't he beat Rahman? Rahman didn't have an iron chin and he outfought Sanders, who hit him plenty, and then stopped him.

AJ, but wouldn't be surprised if Corrie sparked him out.

to my eye corey sanders was good at catching big upright tall guys rather than shorter more compact targets closer to his height. antony joshua would have similar physical dimensions to klitschko

Sanders had a terrible training camp for that one and came in flabby and overweight. His knees were shot, so not even any roadwork.

This place goes overboard with the AJ disrespect. He’d stop sanders.

You have a chance against anyone when you can punch like Sanders, but barring that one win over Klitschko his career is pretty much empty, gotta favour AJ based on consistency alone. It's very much possible that Sanders randomly slips in a left cross and chins AJ but, well, it didn't happen to Rahman so yeah.

A shame how Sanders' career turned out, not a bad one by any means but it's rare for a 6'4 240 lbs guy to be so ridiculously quick-handed, he should have been able to do a lot more.
