Prime Rocky Marciano vs prime Jerry Quarry

Quarry puts up a gallant effort but is overwhelmed mid to late. Marciano by 9th round TKO. Competitive early, one sided late.

The good Jerry wins. The bad Jerry the Chuvalo Quarry the Jimmy Ellis Quarry loses. Marciano would have with Quarry essentially the under 30 Walcott.

 

Quarry is not even that much bigger. Marciano breaks him down

 

They both get cut up, but the difference is Marciano won’t give a ****, he’ll keep clubbing away at Quarry until Quarry has nothing left and his corner throw the towel in or the ref stops the fight.

Quarry would try to keep fighting to his credit, despite being cut up, but it won’t just be the cuts which are his downfall, Marciano’s relentlessness would cause Quarry to wilt more and more, and Marciano is landing more and more, Quarry can’t see what’s coming because he’s cut up, but he can’t capitalise on Marciano being cut up because he can’t throw, because he’s wilting, too tired to even keep him arms up, and knowing that he’s gonna get clipped if he even tries to let his hands go because Marciano won’t stop throwing.

Marciano can also feel where his opponents are up close without having to see, he uses his arms well, manoeuvres the opponent where he wants and keep his arms on them so he can feel their movement and react accordingly, which would certainly help him when he’s cut up and his vision is hindered.

 

Thinking about this I think Marciano would win by “TKO” via butting (accidental or not) or stray elbows (accidental or not) just opens up a cut, if that wasn’t it you’re right. Quarry had Frazier in a very, very bad way so it’d be interesting and far from one sided… I’d love to see Quarry vs Conn.

 

He d be getting a beating while breaking him down. Quarry stood in against Lyle Shavers Mac Foster Marciano couldn’t hit like those guys. And as for Walcotts weight advantage not mattering really rewatch the fight he was throwing Rocky around like a rag doll in 1st round and almost got him out of there. An old man. Rocky past the 12th round championship limit of today outlasted the old man.
