    It is a weak era. Fury’s best win is exposing a one trick pony in Wilder.

    As good as Usyk is, he wouldn’t have had it so easy in the 80’s and 90’s when there were more speedier heavyweights of hand and foot with good technique and power. I hear people calling Crawford the GOAT, his story would be far more interesting if he had to face fighters like Curry and Starling. Let alone Leonard or Hearns. Boxing is very weak in all divisions compared to yesteryear.

    Sure, he COULD grab a belt. Dubois got sparked by Usyk. Obviously Usyk is an exceptional fighter, but Ruddock hit about two orders of magnitude harder than Usyk can.

    Ruddock has a non-zero chance against anyone.

    He would be a contender. I really liked him after the Dokes and Tyson fights, but then he got blasted out by Lewis on holloween night. Later he lost to Tommy Morrison. I lost faith in him like I lost faith in Golota. He would be the same today. Just a big punching beatable contender. Given the right circumstances, he might win a title, but I dont see dominance or anything.

    If the heavyweight division goes back to being the way it was after Lewis retired, then you are going to miss Fury, Wilder and Usyk.

    In fact you are going to miss them a lot.

    It won't. The next era will have better talent over all. I've been looking at the amateurs, they're really talented. Teremoana jr is a better version of Bakole. Justis Huni is a better version of Parker. Itauma is better than joshua and Dubois and that's just the surface

    You said he's a "better" version of Parker. Parker has had an excellent career including his late resurgence.

    I can't wait to see how this ages.

    Yes, he beats any heavyweight today. That includes Usyk, who is simply
    the best in a extremely bad era of heavyweight boxing.

    Why? Fury and Wilder didn't want to fight their contemporaries. Look at who they missed out on fighting. Why would someone want to spend their time wondering how Fury would do against contemporaries he refused to fight.

    At least you got to see an incredible trilogy between Fury and Wilder.

    Nothing like that happened for a long time after Lewis retired.

    It has no historical significance due to Wilders horrendous resume.

    Every era has exciting bouts. Arreola was always entertaining so was Brewster.
