David Tua would be his most dangerous foe of these three. Lots of power. Dangerous left hook. Iron chin. Short and awkward and liked to crowd which Louis said he didn’t like

I would be very confident Joe beats all 3

Peak Tucker is a rather large step up from what Louis was used to IMO. 6'5", good mobility, rock solid chin, and decent power. Not sure exactly what Tucker-Louis would look like, but how many Louis opponents were better than Tucker? This is an actual skilled big man we're talking about, unlike Abe Simon, who managed to drag Louis into the 13th round and actually win a few rounds. This would be a grind for Louis IMO.

Tua would definitely be dangerous. Sooner or later he's going to get a left hand home on JL, which almost certainly would represent the hardest Louis had ever been hit. I'm not seeing Louis just brushing that off without any problems. The first thing I envisioned with the Tua-Louis pairing was Louis rolling around on the canvas like the first Schmeling fight. I've always been guilty of overrating Tua though. I thought he'd steamroll Byrd for example, and he didn't. I still would lean towards Tua in this one.

Hard to pick winners here, because I just don't know how Louis would handle what I see as a step up in competition with Tucker & Tua, but I believe each would be a problem for Louis.

    Decision Tucker
50/50 with Moorer who was quick, threw great combos and had a susceptible chin, all just like Joe
    Prime Tua KO's him.

Maybe. Tony Tucker wasn’t a terribly aggressive fighter. And when someone started to get the better of him he went on the defensive. He might have had some tools which would make him competitive though.

Tuas the biggest threat, how can he not be with that power.
Tucker loses a decision but no shame in that.
Moorer gets Kod between rounds 5-10

I think if they all worked together and coordinated their attacks, one of them could possibly sneak up behind Joe and pull it off.

This is actually not as clear cut as some people would believe.

For example Louis apparently got schooled in sparring by a Light Heavyweight Southpaw and vowed to never fight a Southpaw after that. So Louis could have great difficulty with Moorer's Southpaw style even if Moorer is a bit chinny at Heavyweight.

Tucker I think is a bit overrated but with his size, durablity, skills, he definitely presents a tough stylistic challenge for Louis.

Tua is also a bit overrated but his power in his left hook certainly isn't and the likes of Galento floored Louis with a left hook. Tua would definitely be dangerous to Louis with his power and I don't think Louis's chin was granite far from it although he had good recovery powers.

of those 3 i think tua wins and moorer has a close but less than 50/50. tucker likely looses.

A hot take but I think Joe Louis would struggle with a lot of the heavyweights from Ali onwards.
