Bert Lytell. "The Beast of Stillman's Gym"

Does anyone know what happened to these? I wanted to re-read this classic series. One of the best out there.

 

Had similar issues tracking down old articles.., links just lead to dead ends or I’m just bad with computers.

 

Yep, the myth that its there forever on the internet is bollocks. There's a ton of stuff that I know I read that has simply vanished. There are videos that I watched that are MIA permanently.

 

Azuhma vs Martinez 1 or 2 was lost for a second there… save things you actually care about at? Especially as niche boxing fans.

 

I'm a huge Corrie Sanders fan and I regret not saving Sanders vs Bispo when it was up there. Apparently he bust his hand in the first and had to go the rest of the fight one handed. Would have been interesting to see.

 

I am a fan of CS he was a really fun fighter to watch, I don’t usually root for Southpaws but he won me over… I think he’d have been a very interesting opponent for Liston, Wilder, Douglas, Foreman, Frazier, Usyk and Holyfield in particular id love to watch him duke it out with EH… were he and Commander Vander ever booked or in discussion for a bout?

 

I think a Holyfield fight would indeed have been interesting. Sanders fought quite a few opponents that Holyfield had fought (although worse versions of them to be fair) and he usually trounced them much more easily and quickly. However Sanders had the perennial problem of being a high risk low reward fighter because he simply was not well known enough. Why fight a guy that might switch you off at any time for peanuts when you could fight another guy that you know you can beat for much more money? It's a no-brainer. In my opinion the only reason he even got the Wlad fight is because he was getting on in years and there were few other options around.
