Very sad if true. Usyk already made him quit twice.

Dubois is literally the least deserving of a Usyk trilogy lmao. Dude hasn't won a clear round and was stopped twice. Pure delusion.

That's what's happening here. Dubois' team banking on Usyk being gone before a trilogy fight might come about.

A third would be insane. I get it, if Dubois becomes a mandatory it could happen, but still.

This is a pure strategic business move by Frank W. Smart actually, as they know Usyk will be retired by next year, allowing DDD to pick up a vacant belt more easily. Under no circumstances is Team DDD expecting to fight Usyk. Heck, they’ll even fake an injury just to buy them more time until Usyk retires.

How? How can a guy get stopped twice and expect to get a 3rd fight? Dubois should never be put in that position as long as Usyk has the belts. No eliminator matches, or tournaments should put him in the position to fight Usyk a 3rd time.

Why not just have a belt where AJ and Dubious can just keep fighting eliminators and title fights.
    So it works like this:

    Eliminator 1: AJ v opponent
    Eliminator 2: Dubious v opponent
If AJ or Dubious lose, they get another eliminator with a different opponent.

    Title fight: --
If AJ or Dubious lose they go back to the eliminator slot.

    This just simplifies things.

Chisora, Itauma, Ajagba and Torrez are all rated higher than Dubois, do any of them really not want it?

It would be very disappointing if Torrez turned down the opportunity.

I think the winner will face Chisora in an eliminator for the mandatory? That's the ibf rules, but it seems like everyone is saying this fight is for the mandatory position.

Yeah apparently all the others turned it down, including Torrez.

You'd think an eliminator would involve hot contenders riding on the momentum of victories over fellow contenders, but instead we're to get an IBF eliminator between two guys who got dominated into quitting in their last fights (not sure if Sanchez has fought since, but certainly not against anyone relevant if he has).

IBF is last in line for the mandatory fight. Besides, Chisora is the mandatory at the moment. Dubois just looking for the route he can fight for the vacant belt when Usyk retires.

Sanchez vs whoever will becomethe #1 guy, which will be the final mandatory. Chisora lost his chance when he rejected the Sanchez fight I think.

The others have their reasons. Chisora can get better paydays against more beatable opponents, Itauma is very young (though It's still a duck on his part too), Ajagba already lost to Sanchez. But It would be an extremely bad look for Torrez. He's in his prime, has enough experience, Sanchez is a beatable opponent. Where else is he gonna go?

And since everyone ranked above Dubois turned down the eliminator, I can't really blame him or the IBF. Usyk is likely to start dropping belts soon, and they'll want a champion. (I wouldn't mind Dubois/Hrgovic II in 2026 for the vacant IBF belt.)

Silver lining is, I don't think we have to worry about Usyk/Dubois III. Noone wants it including Warren and Dubois themselves, they'll just hope to grab the vacant belt.

Dubois is a Glass Jawed Fighter. I haven’t paid much attention to Sanchez. What kind of Chin does he have?

Sanchez can't deal with pressure fighters at all.

He did dominate Ajagba hence some people see something in Sanchez on here, but I think hes a gatekeeper at best.
